I too am a fan of that parable. Use it often.

I love it because some lessons can only be learned the hard way for some hardheaded, soft arse people. Wouldn’t be that personal if their idiocy didn’t affect everyone else, but alas it does.

But again, the learning process for these types is a prolonged arse whippin from their ideas…and even then they likely die on their hill of stupidity.

It’s just effects the rest of society, as well.

I get it, but I wish in many cases I'd rather be wrong. I'd rather it be that you can trust government, and that you can trust other people and so forth.

I'm just not dumb enough to believe it.

But I would rather be wrong.

That’s some serious projection youre making right there, fatty

Why don’t you just keep to things you know about like financial advice and not focus on a complex issue like what’s going on in France rn.

Oh, I don’t want to break up your little “I voted for this” party.

I haven't said shite about what I think she said because I have no fricking idea what she said. I don't understand French and I've been around long enough to know that I can't trust random third hand translations. But your lack of Desire to come clean does seem mildly suspicious. Ask for who voted for what the french absolutely voted for this so they fricking deserve it whether that white girl was saying it or not

Without going back and listening again, she’s saying “stop” (in French and English), “this isn’t about [your] cause”, “why are you doing this”. And that’s about it.

Okay based on that I would be willing to bet the fricking Farm and everything I own that she's a liberal voter and she's confused by why they would be attacking her shop not because of her voting but because she has up till now been too fricking stupid to realize the implications of voting for people that were going to allow this kind of immigration. She was too worried about supposedly racist sexist straight white men and getting her liberal freebies from the government to concern herself with such things as bringing in people completely incompatible with their culture. That's why she's not getting mad at them. She's literally begging them to be nice which is fricking hilarious. It's actually worse than what she's been accused of in this thread if you really think about it

oh of course. Good lord. Look, I won’t stand in the way of this board’s white women hate party, but you people love to reach sometimes (and by that I mean most of the time).

Dude it's obvious that she's confused by why these people are being so mean. Even in that particular moment the stupid bitch is terrified to just call them what they are. Because she's so brainwashed in the entire oppressed versus oppressor ideology that all she could think of is how bad white men are

She just got a slap of reality. Her confusion says it all.

They really have no idea there is a real world out there and our high trust way way of life hangs on by a thread.

No thats why i said she was a supporter of this

I hate to be on Mo Jeaux’ side on this, but we were all gaslighted, by the social media post in the OP, into believing that the woman said she supported them. Mo Jeaux says that’s not the case, and someone ran it through a translator and Mo Jeaux is largely correct. Now you are trying to spin what she actually said into evidence that she supported them, but it’s not so. (She might have supported them. In fact, if I had to bet that’s what I’d bet on. But there is no real evidence of that).

I mean think about it. A rational person watching a mob attack their store is going to be fricking seething pissed. But not this stupid bitch. She actually thinks there's some cause that she and they mutually should recognize. When she says this is not the cause she literally thinks that she knows the real cause. That's not a statement of don't do this. That's just a statement of don't do this to me! What a fricking stupid liberal whore

I knew not to trust the translations but the actual translation isn't that much better. She's saying this isn't the cause. That by definition means that she doesn't have a problem with what they're doing she just has a problem with them directing at her stuff because she thinks there's some more legitimate place they could be destroying. In fact I'm not sure that's not worse than the incorrect translation! She's basically saying do what you're going to do but don't do it to me! LOL

Yes and no for me.

She was told that this was their strength and how she could afford her apartment and daily chai latte.
She was told that they would never infiltrate her neighborhood.
She's confused on why it ventured to her neighborhood.
Now she's just thankful they didn't assault her.

To her, you cannot erase all that in one looting. It is still Trump's fault, to her.

You really just want to hate her for some reason, so you’re casting aspersions about her motivations.

A simple explanation would be that she knew that there were massive national-wide protests called for yesterday, which were approved by the government and police by the way. Her saying “this is not [about your] cause” is a perfectly rational statement. The rest of her statements are what you would expect.

You people just want to paint your own picture, so you (i) lie about what she said, and (ii) when called out about your lie, jump through hoops to justify your lies.

That is a bizarre spin on what she said. She implied none of that. Maybe she believed in protesting high gasoline prices and a lack of economic opportunity, but she opposed looting. There are many possible explanations for what she said. You are just choosing the one that makes your original error - being gaslighted - seem justified.

What the frick are you talking about? Saying why are you doing this this isn't the cause is absolutely saying that! She wasn't saying don't do this to anybody. She was just saying don't do it to my shop! It was the very definition of I'm not the bad guy. I mean Jesus frick man. A normal person is just pissed as frick they are out there doing what they're doing but that wasn't what she was at all. She was just confused why it was happening to her
