French Foreign Legion says Ukrainians can go home and fight for their country with Legion equipment.
Story just updated on BBC TV, legion now says all its members can go. (no link sorry - this is to the original new release).
Now THESE guys are badass. They run full marathons for fun.

Show me where it's denied, the French Defense Department almost never comments on what the Legion does. The legion was in Afghanistan and the French never talked about it.

FFL were in Djibouti with us in CJTF-HOA. They were the only foreign anything, other than the Japanese, that pulled their weight. I can attest their desert commandos are legit and US Army gets trained by them there. Everyone wanted to run their qual course and get their desert badge.
Pretty interesting, and fascinating letting them take gear, when in contrast I would get pay checked $200 via DD200 if I didn't turn back in some misc issued piece of shite equipment.

The legion has some pretty cool dudes in it. It’s not the soldiers of fortune it was but it’s got great equipment and elite training. They lack the numbers to change the outcome in the Ukraine and it’s too late to use them as force multipliers but they would force Russian into a hard battle instead of the soft ones they are doing now.

Doesn’t the US have similar mercenary businesses (hired hands) to assist the US military or other countries in a primarily non fighting role? KBR?
Many of these workers are ex-military and have military training.
I guess, Ukraine may need some deep pockets to get their services.

Do not get in a fight with the Legion, they are excellent fighters....every bit as good as any US Army Ranger outfit, probably better. They will frick you up .
