But then, you're far more loyal to Trump the man than I am, and I expect we'll diverge on anything relating to that level of personal devotion.

I meant to ask earlier but forgot. Had to come back to it due to curiosity....

First, to make sure I'm not suspecting incorrectly, what is intended by "Trump the man," do you mean morals/character etc?

I've donated numerous times to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Assoc. They gave me a subscription to Decision Magazine and it is a quality product if you are looking for an alternative to the one in the OP. Decision Mag calls out leftists, socialists, one world gubment, the lying MSM, etc., on a regular basis.

Being friendly with a President and being subject to a President are not the same thing. I have no issue with Christian leaders having good relationships with powerful politicians. They need Christian leaders too.

so you as a christian are OK with Donald Trump's moral compass? the man who paid off at least 2 women he slept with while married to his current wife? You can support Trump but don't act like he is a christian and shouldn't called out by Christians

You might want to peruse Jesus' guest list to most of his ministry (at least according to the Gospels). A lot of sinners in there. You know...that whole "he who is without sin cast the first stone"?

We don't support Trump because he's a god fearing christian.

We support Trump because he's willing to fight for us and fights for us against the radical leftist hordes to want to completely wipe out christianity and our precious religious freedom.

Donald Trump is a very flawed man but he knows who the good guys are and he fights for them.

I heard him on the radio. He is VERY Persuasive when it comes to Christians supporting DJT. The campaign needs to get him out there more often. I was really impressed with his defense

MAGA is like David in the Bible. A great KING with many personal flaws.

What struck me about it all is the amount of airtime and emphasis put on Christianity Today piece when, TBH, I had never heard of it before yesterday.

And it was cited in conjunction with Fox News "poll" that showed that Trump's favorability with evangelicals dropped 20% due to his conduct vis-a-vis Ukraine and impeachment.

I mean him as an individual who happens to be President. The human being, as opposed to any conservative movement or the office of the Presidency or even the concept of Trump the President.

I think there are a ton of posters who are completely beholden to Trump, that it'll extend after he's out of power, etc. He can do no wrong for them, they'll twist the truth and make excuses for him, etc.

I support Trump the President. I don't have any fealty to Trump, however, so I think that's the distinction I'm trying to make. He's a guy who works for us and I want him to do well. He's not an idol of mine or someone I want to please or praise.

Surely you agree there appears to be a different approach taken by Jeffress and the like to Trump vs. Graham and ______?

Sort of what I'm talking about...

I think the comparison probably proves ridiculous, but needless to say comparing David to Trump ignores the reality that David sought repentance. Perhaps Trump is too, but based on what we can see I don't see it as an apt comparison.
