Franklin Graham Slams Christianity Today: My Father Billy Graham ‘Voted for Donald Trump’

So I guess that's that.
Breitbart
quote:
“My father knew Donald Trump, he believed in Donald Trump, and he voted for Donald Trump,” Graham wrote on Facebook early Friday. “He believed that Donald J. Trump was the man for this hour in history for our nation.”
quote:
Since “they invoked my father’s name (I suppose to try to bring legitimacy to their statements),” Rev. Graham wrote, “I feel it is important for me to respond.”
“Yes, my father Billy Graham founded Christianity Today; but no, he would not agree with their opinion piece. In fact, he would be very disappointed,” Graham said, noting that the misappropriation of his father’s name is what moved him to reveal whom his father voted for in 2016.
quote:
“This impeachment was politically motivated, 100% partisan. Why would Christianity Today choose to take the side of the Democrat left whose only goal is to discredit and smear the name of a sitting president?” Graham asked. “They want readers to believe the Democrat leadership rather than believe the President of the United States.”

I can't believe he missed the chance to say this

Idiots probably just killed that publication.

“The list of accomplishments is long, but for me as a Christian, the fact that he is the most pro-life president in modern history is extremely important — and Christianity Today wants us ignore that, to say it doesn’t count?” he continued. “The President has been a staunch defender of religious freedom at home and around the world — and Christianity Today wants us to ignore that? Also the President has appointed conservative judges in record number — and Christianity Today wants us to ignore that?”

I think CT has plenty of reason to criticize Trump and the coziness of Graham and others (I'm not including Falwell Jr. as he's a fraud and piece of shite) to the WH is disturbing. I don't want my Christian leaders jockeying for the President's attention and approval.
That said, taking a landmark stance like this is just bizarre. Even if you think what Trump did is impeachable, how is this worthy of a bold new position whereas a President who supported unhindered abortion was met with silence? That's not really "whataboutism" but more so "what-are-we-doing-here-ism?"
The response may be "well being pro-abortion and largely against religion in public life isn't impeachable." In which case my response is "why is CT of all entities drawing the line there?" The last thing CT should care about is what's justifiable under a political process. If you're going to boldly denounce immorality from leaders, then you're going to need a ton more editorials.

No, it’s not.

To hell with the so-called Christians who support the party of baby killers and homosexuals.

Yes it is. But then, you're far more loyal to Trump the man than I am, and I expect we'll diverge on anything relating to that level of personal devotion.

That is likely where they will arrive after death (barring repentance).

Why?
Because I want my Christian leaders to have loyalty and subjection to no man?
Surprised you of all people would object to that stance.

so you as a christian are OK with Donald Trump's moral compass? the man who paid off at least 2 women he slept with while married to his current wife? You can support Trump but don't act like he is a christian and shouldn't called out by Christians.
Keep Religion from politics period.

What the Dems/MSM want is for Christians never to vote. In their eyes, we must wait for Jesus himself to be on the ballot or we can’t vote without endorsing a sinner.
Disenfranchising Christians has worked well for them for 6+ decades, why would they stop now?

Watch the movie Pale Rider, and then you’ll understand what is going on and what Donald Trump’s role (“The Preacher”) in this story is,

Know how I know you have ZERO KNOWLEDGE of the Bible and make an arse of yourself trying speak as if you do?

I think his point about keeping politics and religion separate is stupid, and I won't try to judge whether Trump is a Christian or not
But what else did he say that is in contrast to the Bible?

I’ve read articles on Christianity Today and found many to have a less than conservative or traditional bent.
