Fox News
China possesses 'super EMPs' that could cause a marathon blackout resulting in mass death
Experts are warning that the United States is vulnerable to an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack from adversaries such as China, and that time is running out to invest in defending the country from it.
"That poses a real threat of possibly being able to win a war with a single blow by means of an EMP attack," Peter Vincent Pry, the executive director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security, said during a virtual forum hosted by the Universal Peace Federation Tuesday. "Moreover … they don’t envision employing an EMP by itself. It would be used in conjunction with cyberattacks and physical sabotage, and non-nuclear EMP."
The U.S. electric grid and other infrastructure – such as communications and transportation systems and water and sewer services – could all be devastated by such an attack, experts like Pry warn, noting that time is of the essence for the U.S. to defend itself.

And I’ll bet nothing in all these democrat spending bills covers this. But hey po folks need internet.

EMP's wouldn't be incredibly difficult for smaller nations to create and deliver. China is no the only entity that could do this to us, and vice versa.

What exactly exists to convince anyone that this fairy tale is true?
There has never been a atmospheric test to convince anyone of the theory.
How high do you detonate?
When the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs were detonated, did all mechanical devices come to a stop hundreds of miles away?
When atmospheric tests took place at Bikini Atoll, did ships stop dead in the water?
When we see three eyed, four tit experts, then we’ll have an indication they’ve been researching live.

Post-Ida on a national scale...back to pre-electric days in a heartbeat.
That would suck.
That would suck.

Yeah, well China is vulnerable 10 ways to Sunday if we decide to target the Three Gorges Dam.

Relay logic is not nearly susceptible to EMP as modern electronic controls.

They wouldn't haphazardly blow up the entire world over a "terrorist" "attack" IMO

From CCP threats of Hypersonic Missiles with nukes, to EMPs, and Bio Weapon Viruses...there is one thing that stands between the CCP employing those weapons...or no. And that is having a POTUS like Trump, who they damn will know that will wipe the Chinese landscape clean with an unmerciful retaliatory attack, if we are hit. That is just a given with Trump, or someone of his ilk...who will unequivocally state such up front, with 100% cred that it will happen. That alone, will stop the CCP in their tracks; unless they are like the Islamists, and hold Martyrdom as the highest end.

nuclear electromagnetic pulse (EMP), a time-varying electromagnetic radiation resulting from a nuclear explosion. For a high-yield explosion of approximately 10 megatons detonated 320 km (200 miles) above the centre of the continental United States, almost the entire country, as well as parts of Mexico and Canada, would be affected by EMP—destroying practically all electronic devices and electrical transformers. Procedures to improve the ability of networks, especially military command and control systems, to withstand EMP are known as “hardening.”
nuclear electromagnetic pulse physics
Holy science Batman.
Nuclear EMP is a true threat. Furthermore, some of the basic core pieces of our nations power grid are not easily replaceable.

When a large high voltage transformer is damaged, it typically takes one and half to two years to build and deliver a replacement. “Until recently we had stopped making most high voltage transformers in this country. For the most part they are made abroad,” says Morgan. Transformers can weigh hundreds of thousands of pounds, shipping them overseas can take months. And they are super expensive — up to $8 million apiece — which is why we don’t have a bunch of spares laying around.
The U.S. relies on transformers – and that’s a little scary

It would more than suck. It could potentially be 9 months of not only that, but zero communication, almost zero transport, surely rogue biker type gangs popping up. 75% if this country would likely die.

Carrington Event.
Same concept but naturally occurring.

Nowadays when I see headlines like this I think, "Well, the USA is fixin' to attack itself."
God bless "experts", how do we function w/o them.
