"how about a little respect"?
Black people taking issue over the mistake

After news surfaced that Aretha Franklin died Thursday at her Detroit home, the network posted a tribute to the Queen of Soul. While the 11-minute video had good intentions honoring her “amazing life” and legacy, it made one big mistake. Somehow, an image of Patti LaBelle ended up in the final version.

Fox News has apologized for the mistake. “We sincerely apologize to Aretha Franklin’s family and friends,” the network said in a statement. “Our intention was to honor the icon using a secondary image of her performing with Patti LaBelle in the full screen graphic, but the image of Ms. Franklin was obscured in that process, which we deeply regret.” Still, social media reactions were swift and brutal: It’s some D-I-S-R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

Clearly justification for burning the place down.
I mean, every other word that CNN says is a complete lie, they got caught rigging a primary debate, and they claimed that it was illegal for anyone but them to view Wikileaks.
But let’s go after Fox for an editing mistake.

Anyone outside of Aretha Franklin's family that is offended at that can get fricked.
It's fricking dumb what they did, sure. And anyone who wants to call them out for being dumb is fine. But it's not offensive unless it's your own relative.

Why not just laugh at the person that edited the video?
Hit him with a Fred Sanford "big dummy" and move on.

Why would black people take issue over a stupid gaffe?
I would be the majority of black people have never even heard of her.

Calm down, you are starting to melt over nothing.

I have some African American christian friends on Facebook talking about it, one is married to a white woman...
he posted the story "OMG"
then many of his black friends starting going off "I guess we all look the same huh?"
I don't understand it..

What were black folks doing watching Fox anyhow?

Everyone knows what happened. They had difficulty telling them apart.

Some people actively seek ways of being a victim or being offended.
There is no cure for that except to roll your eyes and tell them whatever, then go about your business.

Seems like such a stupid thing to frick up. How can you not just grab a stock photo of an R&B icon?

To be honest Fox deserves some grief for the mistake, even if it was an honest mistake.

Sure they do, but not of a racial nature.

Nah. I have about 15 different stages before melt. Telling someone to get fricked is stage 1.

but not of a racial nature
It's not fair but neither is life.

Being perpetually offended by the actions of others takes away from the stress of thinking about your own dismal status in life.

A poor attempt by Fox News to Stir it Up
ETA: Okay, this was a poor attempt to reference a Patti Labelle song. Easy with the downvotes, people.
