Sorry but who trusts the media with national security? The media has aggregation news from the DNC, not independence.

The entire Pentagon should be a restricted area. They do not have the right to just roam around free with out credentials showing. Military on military bases have to have credentials showing to go into restricted areas.

Seems reasonable to have these restrictions. There was an old saying in WW II “Loose lips sink ships”. I am appalled there were no restrictions before. I had to go through security checks etc to work on the grounds at Redstone Arsenal. Why do these arrogant pricks think they get to roam free?

When is the last time ABC, NBC, CBS or CNN had a diverging editorial opinion?
They are redundant/unnecessary.

Now, they can 'internally' leak false information to someone suspected of leaking and if the info ends up in the press then they know that the suspect is the leaker and can deal with it and make an example of him/her.
So in other words, they don't want the press reporting leaks.

IMHO the media shouldn't even be allowed to obtain restricted area badges at all. They should have to be escorted by someone that has a restricted area escort badge.

I call them FAKE FOX for a reason.

That'll stop some leaks...

It is about time those complicit in promoting an anti-American agenda are more than willing to prove who they are.

I work at a top 50 corporation in DFW. Anyone who is not an employee must be registered with security on every visit to the campus. Each person gets a temporary “badge” with their picture on it and it’s attached to a bright red lanyard that says escort required. Security checks this all the time throughout the campus. This happens daily and we are not the Pentagon.

Good. Bring on the legitimate Podcasters who actually, accurately report the news.

Yeah this doesn't really change anything. They've run with a bunch of dejected deep staters, quoting "sources close to the situation" and continue to lie profusely. Nothing stops them from continuing to do this, but the lies will just be easier to expose.

Everyone, badged or not, had to go through a metal detector the last time I was inside (admittedly, before 9/11, or does that make it worse?)
It's ludicrous they had that level of access to begin with. Countries that don't like us can just ride the metro, and glean plenty from people that are trying to prove how important they are, which is all DC really is. One OPSEC violation after another, on nearly every ride.
And yet, when people are in their workplace, with other people who swore an oath, and have been background checked and have a clearance, speak as if there is some level of trust they can place in someone eating lunch at the next park bench. They shouldn't, especially for SCI info, but they will.

Trump not only does things I voted for, he gets those I hate to act like I want them to, like dogs performing tricks.

Newsmax and Fox News also refused to sign.
In fact, only one news outlet has signed.
One America news.

What exactly are these new rules and why are they so bad?
They can’t roam the freely. They must wear badges. BTW, they’ve never roamed freely and they’ve always worn badges.
The ones that news organizations have the most problems with are: Prohibition of unauthorized solicitation: Journalists cannot ask for or encourage the disclosure of any information not explicitly authorized for release by the Pentagon.
Vague "security risk" clause: The policy states that soliciting unapproved information "may weigh in the consideration of whether you pose a security or safety risk".
It sounds like more of an employee problem with the latter two rules
