FOR Zou: The racist Deep South

They all say the south is horribly racist. But I ask you, the last 5 major racial conflicts have occurred where? Not the Deep South.
We're pretty cool with each other down here.
Every yankee says they have black friends, but how many of those "friends" have ever been to their houses for supper. My friends come over all the time, cause this cracker can fry up some chicken livers and cook the hell out of some neckbone.
The south is the most racially progressive part of the US. We treat each other as people, not those people.

What are we counting here?
I'm not disagreeing with your premise, just wondering.

From what I gather, the most segregated city in America with the most racial tension is Boston.

black folks come to my home all of the time to get stuff out of my garden that i GIVE away to folks in the community....we got great blacks here where i live with absolutely zero racial issues....our mayor is a black woman who i have known all my life, we all know each other and if al sharpton tried to come in and start shite, he would be in for a major surprise how he would be greeted in the black community

Let's see, Ferguson, Baltimore, Louisville, Cincinatti and Charlottesville off the top of my head.
I just can't think of a single one that really jumped off down here. Alton Sterling didn't even really cause much of a fuss.
I could be wrong. I just can't think of any.
Hell, Birmingham hasn't had an incident since 1963...and we are still considered the most historically racist city in the nation.

Without a doubt. As far as people I’ve met from other countries Eastern Europeans take the racist gold medal.
The north is so purposefully segregated it’s humorous.

Spent some time talking to this way left liberal lady who moved down here about 10 years ago. She had lived in Pennsylvania and Chicago. She said she could never believe how integrated society was down here and that she never even realized how segregated it was up north. She has an interracial child and said they got looks all the time up north. No one really even cares down here. She said it was all very eye opening.

There will be an army of Steph Currys one day that speak with a southern drawl....if black women would just stop yelling so much!

Sounds like a win for everybody.

That's a weird group of cities to pick. White flight was MOuntain Brook, Vestavia, Trussville. Calera and PElham are pretty diverse. So is Hoover.
Weird choice dude.
And Calera, why not say Chelsea. That's the white school that starts with a C.

Both are pretty white. Mountain Brook has always had a really rich white population. Trussville is the exact same as Pelham, but on the north of Birmingham instead of the south.

I'd say NJ and Boston people who move to Florida make up most of the racist people I know.

Current Southerners grew up around way more black people then the rest of the country outside of Detroit.
Parts of the Northwest or Southwest have had little interaction with black people.

Weren't those examples of black racism directed at "whitey"??

Most racist encounter I have ever had was actually in Italy. They give two shits about political correctness over there.

The only reason the south is racist against blacks is because most of them live here.
Accept it or not, we weren't born racist, we learned it by experience!

No doubt. Those are some racist fricks. It's like it's ingrained in their DNA
