It still doesn't mean that they did it on behalf of Israel. In fact, your own quotes defeat your argument. They did it on behalf of protecting their own interests in the event Israel attacked. Here, Trump is diverging from his words in the OP and instead is saying, "we are going to do this now before you attack us, because we know you will and you have demonstrated that you will for the past 50 fricking years."
Retaliation for a policy of war being waged against us is what this is. And an effort to stop their attacks from happening again in the future.
Still, not on behalf of Israel. Israel is its own entity. Yes, they are our "ally", and our actions will benefit them, but this is not doing something at their behest. If Iran hadn't attacked the US perhaps 1,000 times (literally) in the past, we wouldn't have done this preemptively.
This is on Iran. Comeuppance.

Lord, I hope you aren't trying to suggest that if Netanyahu had told Trump "we will not be going to war with Iran" that the US would have attacked Iran anyway. You really can't believe that.

Alot has changed in 40 years. Also thats not what he said on his campaign. He said no new wars.
Netanyahu however has said this very loudly and clearlycevery 3 months in every address to congress hes made since the 80s.. so doesnt really absolve Israel here.
Israel rushed the initial bombing forcing us to join earlier than anticipated while negotiations were still happening, israel is now going against trumps plan to hold off on energy infrastructure. Their escalations are forcing our hand there are no doubts about it.

None of this changes the fact that Trump is not in Netanyahu's pocket. Both things can be true. Israel can have influence in our government (they certainly do) and Trump can be following through on what he said he would do going back 46 years now independent of any Israeli influence.
Israel being "bad" doesn't mean Iran is innocent.

I didn't believe that and anyone who does is hopelessly stupid. With regards to Israel, it is good to have one badass ally in the world. Most of Europe is worthless.
