The incompetence of these DEI hires killed people & destroyed entire
When competence is compromised, failure inevitably follows. And the higher the complexity of the system compromised, the bigger the potential for catastrophic disaster:
Airports had 19 near-misses that could’ve been catastrophic this year — most since 2016, startling report finds….
The following video report by Matt Walsh details how known incompetent FAA hires were paired with experienced professionals in the mere hope of avoiding disaster. It also details how some airlines have focused exclusively on recruiting minorities and “under represented groups” as pilots and mechanics at the exclusion of other considerations such as skill or competence.

My criticism of his speech is specific to him conflating a list of POSSIBLE qualifying disabilities for all FAA jobs(probably matches the list for all government jobs) with qualified disabilities for an ATC. ATC have extremely stringent medical and mental requirements and are tested regularly. The FAA isn't recruiting mentally disabled folks to be ATCs.
IE .....they may hire a less qualified minority over whitey but they arent hiring epileptics and folks with down syndrome as ATCS....as Trump suggested.

The tower was understaffed. There was supposed to be another ATC specifically dedicated to the helos vs one juggling both.
DEI hiring practices over the past 4 years resulted in some of the most qualified candidates being turned away.
The controller in communication with PAT 225 may not have done anything wrong, and followed procedures in place but that doesn’t absolve DEI.
Per a Helo pilot on Bongino yesterday however the practice of allowing helos to be cleared for visual separation so close to commercial flights so frequently is inherently dangerous and may be the biggest contributing factor.
Who is responsible for putting that procedure into place to begin with is a question that needs to be asked. DEI hire in management ?
DEI can rear its head in many ways leading to the understaffing, or poor decisions being made in what procedures are put into place in the first place re clearing helos for visual flight separation so close to incoming flights all the time, not just the actions of the individual ATC.
Also it was a woman pilot on the helo in a unit that has another trans pilot, and suspicious of this having been a malicious act are surfacing.
DEI may have played a part in keeping emotionally unstable army pilots on active duty here, no way to tell.
Maybe she’s was close to the other trans pilot that will likely be kicked out soon per the recent Trump EO on banning trannies from military service LINK and she committed a terrorist attack in protest / solidarity.
Incompetence trickle down theory :

Well, if everyone else in the FAA knows a lot about aviation then having a boss who knows nothing about aviation makes FAA more diverse.

Trump is wrong in this instance. Wait until the facts come out. Speculating creates terrible rumors.
You don’t think the President of the United States has the facts? How are people so dumb? Is it TDS or just being a simpleton?

Let us not forget Donnie’s diversity program he forced on the FAA in 2017 called “Diversity In Flight.” He’s such a hypocrite.
Link? I can find no record of Trump supporting such a program.
In any event, Trump signed an Executive Order in his first term prohibiting racial and sexual stereotyping and likewise declared that the Federal Government should base their hiring standards solely on merit and not other considerations. So Trump’s XO did exactly the opposite of promoting diversity for diversity’s sake.
Executive Order 13950—Combating Race and Sex Stereotyping….
….Therefore, it shall be the policy of the United States not to promote race or sex stereotyping or scapegoating in the Federal workforce or in the Uniformed Services, and not to allow grant funds to be used for these purposes. In addition, Federal contractors will not be permitted to inculcate such views in their employees.
Our Federal civil service system is based on merit principles. These principles, codified at 5 U.S.C. 2301, call for all employees to "receive fair and equitable treatment in all aspects of personnel management without regard to" race or sex "and with proper regard for their . . . constitutional rights." Instructing Federal employees that treating individuals on the basis of individual merit is racist or sexist directly undermines our Merit System Principles and impairs the efficiency of the Federal service. Similarly, our Uniformed Services should not teach our heroic men and women in uniform the lie that the country for which they are willing to die is fundamentally racist. Such teachings could directly threaten the cohesion and effectiveness of our Uniformed Services.
Such activities also promote division and inefficiency when carried out by Federal contractors. The Federal Government has long prohibited Federal contractors from engaging in race or sex discrimination and required contractors to take affirmative action to ensure that such discrimination does not occur. The participation of contractors' employees in training that promotes race or sex stereotyping or scapegoating similarly undermines efficiency in Federal contracting. Such requirements promote divisiveness in the workplace and distract from the pursuit of excellence and collaborative achievements in public administration...

The sad thing is, I wasn’t at first sure that image was photoshopped. The fact that such an incompetent clown headed the DOT is “Exhibit A” that DEI is a monumental joke.
