Trumps trade war has good intentions; opening closed and unfair Chinese markets. Taxing Americans to achieve it isn't very smart.
The thing is Chinese firms are being taxed even harder than the poor American wanting a pair of Jordans for $50 bucks cheaper. Funny how our media never tells us about the economic turmoil being felt in China right now. China only understands strength when it comes to breaking down their unfair communistic economic advantages that politicians and wealthy American CEOs have been complicit in slowly creating since the 1970s.
The American manufacture worker and small business owner did not get a say in how "things are now" with this awesome global economy the connected and wealthy elites slowly forced on us. The average American does have a choice in what they buy however. If you buy American made shoes like New Balance, the tariffs mean nothing.
Our grandparents generation committed to ensuring the American economy became the greatest and most efficient economic power the world has ever seen during WW2. What is wrong with Average American Joes championing a new commitment to American made products now?
China needs the American consumer much more than we need China's slave labor economic system. Collectively the American consumer holds the real power over China and their global elite enablers creating this unfair economic unbalance. God forbid Americans start rising up against communist human rights violator China and wealthy big business status quo elites and commit solely to rewarding American companies that make their goods in the USA with American workers.

China is not the only country in the world that can make shoes.

Sounds like you hedged your bets wrong on the whole "Trump will be out by now on collusion charges." You had the plenty of time to shift out, and you didn't. No one is going to give you sympathy for that. At least not around these parts.

Screw these slave labor pieces of garbage.

I note that IB never addressed how to fix the problems that China is causing. Probably because they benefit him.
We should buy and sell elsewhere and letting those bastards wither on the vine is the cure. There are other markets on Earth and over time adjustments will be made and others will pick up the slack more than gladly.
We don't sell them a lot so we can find markets elsewhere.

I’m guessing New Balance disagrees with this letter.
Funny how their shoes are better, and priced the same as Nike.
I’m guessing you are clueless in other matters besides shoe manufacturing.
Try again.

They’ve proven that they can make a product in the US, of equal or better quality, for the same price as their competitors that mfg products in Asia.

They may not have but I surely did for 38 years in transportation . I can attest to the lower rates that were derived by freight to the west cost by all of the shite coming out . Both trucking and rail car rates were driven down ( by more than half from 90’s to now ) where actual cost basically equal income . If Americans still produced products as they did prior to say 1985 , the cities , their coffers and the population would not have been decimated to ruinous conditions they are in . To say companies chased higher margins I can appreciate but at what cost to fellow Americans ?

Okay. I’ll play. What’s wrong about it?
Or is this where you post the gotcha that not all of NBs shoes are made in the US or UK?

I already told you. Almost all.
Not all: lol.
Go ahead. Post your data on NB made in the states. This should be good.
And post the price of a shoe made in here, let’s say the 996. Then you tell us how that is competitive.
