Troll post? How so?
This is letter from a relatively large group of companies about the punishing tariffs on shoes. It was released today and is a big story on CNBC.
Everybody is down voting these companies and they employ hundreds of thousands Americans. Why do people here hate American companies like they do?

Between workers trapped in China’s communist feudal slave worker economic system and peaceful Muslim cultures stoning gays and honor executing rape victims, it’s amazing how morality and human rights only needs to be enforced on certain groups amongst mainstream leftist interests.

Do you think labor is 93% of the cost?
What part of huge markup do you not understand?

What does the markup have to do with it? Why can't they make them in America cheaper than in China with a 93% tariff in place??? They can add the same markup to the cost.

Give it up lady, you cannot get out of the hole you’re in.

No way! Footwear retailers aren't excited to give up near slave labor conditions that they benefit from?!?! This is an astounding revelation.

Keep up the good fight Freeman!
You've little chance of enlightening the Trumpkins, but it is important for the truth to be out there for the few that desire it.
Tariffs are taxes. Plain and simple. Punishing American citizens is not the solution to opening China's markets.
It is amazing how the cult of Trump allows him to do just about anything and his people follow blindly. Anyone who questions the god/king is shouted down by the mob.
The challenge is how to create a simplistic, mindless message for these people and get them on the bandwagon. Facts, ideology, and thoughtful discussion won't work. You need a simpleton message for the masses. "Make America Great Again", for example was and is very effective in appealing to so many people who are not as great as they remember themselves being in an earlier time. How about "Tax the Commies, not the Homies!".
Trumps trade war has good intentions; opening closed and unfair Chinese markets. Taxing Americans to achieve it isn't very smart.
cheers!

If you put a shoe on your foot that is made in China you have shite for brains, especially a dress shoe. They will ruin your feet. Yes there are alternatives. Made in India are better quality. Most Nike's are made in Vietnam or Indonesia. Cowboy boots, US or Mexico. No cowboys in China and their boots are terrible.

I'm sorry. I don't feel sorry for people on government assistance paying $250 instead of $225 for kicks.

Dear footwear industry,
Start manufacturing your products in the USA instead of using $2/day sweatshop labor in China

quote:To remain competitive or even surpass the Chinese Slave Labor the shoemakers could use American Prison Slave Labor too. For the same pennies on the dollar we can have our fancy Air Jordan's and still have them made by unfair slave labor, just good old American Slave Labor instead. We have the prison population ready and waiting.
By employees do they mean the Chinese sweat shop slave laborers they pay $20 a month to assemble their product as opposed to employing American workers a fair wage?

I'll wait while you twist your answers in attempts to justify your position that the tariffs are good for America. (the weaker among you will simply post insults ignoring the facts in the letter)
For sure I am not weak. Now coming from someone like you who likely has never been to China, knows nothing about what the true behavior and goals of the Chinese, I would expect an ignorant post. I have been to China more than 100 times in the past 15 years and hold a 10 visa to China. I have been in their factories and have seen their practices. Debate me please.

ib STILL IGNORING ME.
hey ib, how long until you attempt to answer my questions about your stupid tariff position?
