Floyd, BLM, White Privilege and this hysteria isn't my fight

Media driven manufactured hysteria and full of virtue signaling on social media. It's all made out to be such an important issue, but in reality is manufactured BS that doesn't really involve me. I have no part in this. Is this about Floyd or is this about an election?

-The Floyd case is a tragedy. But, the cops have been arrested and they will be put on trial for their actions. Nothing for me to do here.

-Black Lives Matter. These folks crop up when it suits their agenda. They make a lot of noise. I don't have anything against blacks. I don't kill blacks. Of course their lives matter. I have nothing to do with the police or a few bad officers. From what I have seen, more whites are killed in police shootings than blacks. But, 99% of all police actions result in ZERO people being shot and killed. I obey the law and I treat cops with respect. I have never had a problem. Nothing for me to do here.

-White Privilege. This is made up bunk. In reality, people using the concept of white privilege is frankly racist against whites and used as an excuse for people's own failures in their life. It must be nice to have an entire race of people (whites) to blame for why your life might suck. This concept tries to make hatred of whites acceptable. It's dangerous. I don't accept the concept of white privilege and I will not participate in it. Go figure your own life out and stop being a victim. I will go live my life and leave me out of your pity party. Your problem with the made up concept of "white privilege" is not my problem. I don't care what you say.

-Protests. I am all for anyone going out and protesting. Knock yourself out. If your protest involves a topic that I am interested in, I may join. The best part of these latest rounds of mass protests is it shows how the COVID-19 "social distancing" is a bunch of bunk. The good news is that if we can have massive people together for a march in June, we can all go vote in-person in November and we can for sure have a packed Kyle Field in September for Aggie football. But, again. In this case, the protest isn't about me and there is nothing for me to do here.

-Riots and Looting. If people in other cities want to riot and loot their own neighborhoods, there is nothing I can do about it. This is not happening in my area. We don't act this way. If it comes in my area, I will protect my home and family. But, its not coming here because the rioting and looting is all for a big show on TV caused by some extremist groups. I cant control the Mayors of cities that cause their police force to stand down. I control none of it and I am not a part of any of it.

The end result is just like the old saying. "Not my circus and not my monkeys". The news media and social media has the country in an uproar. We don't have to participate. If you turned off your TV and stayed off of social media, you would never know this crap was going on. Most of America has nothing to do with this and is not affected by it.

I am not part of the George Floyd story, I am not part of BLM. I do not believe in the concept of White Privilege. I have nothing to do with any of it. It's not my fight.

Manufactured hysteria because there is an election.

Why should we care about how all black lives matter if the organizers obviously don’t think that? If they did they would be up in arms when people like David Dorn are killed by looters. Instead they are only interested when a black is killed by a white cop. (Which is a complete statistical anomaly)

If you were well known you would lose your job over expressing these thoughts.

I agreed with 100% of what you said, but when you said this at the end...

quote:

Manufactured hysteria because there is an election.

...doesn't that make it your fight, in a sense? That election is to see who your president is going to be. The president you will have to live with for the next 4-8 years.

Staying home and not worrying about it may be all that we can and should do. But it absolutely is a fight that can impact us after November.

Voting in elections is something that we can all do. I vote in every election.

I am all on board with protesting police brutality. I am a big guy and have had more than one hostile encounter with cops on a few routine traffic stops. I chalk it up to them being overly cautious, as on two occasions, they went from being professional to being dicks once I stepped out of the car. In my experience, there are a lot of cops who became cops because they like to be in charge. Those frickers need to be rooted out.

I'm out today enjoying a lake. I'm about to go and get some dinner.

Nobody wearing a mask and no protests.

Are there protests and marches today?

Well I mean the federal government is going to bail out all of these cities with millions in damages, which in turn impact your taxes.
