A Florida man is in custody for allegedly trying to throw a live alligator onto the roof of a building.

William Hodge, 32, was arrested around 3 a.m. Thursday and charged with possessing and injuring an alligator, burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, criminal mischief, and petty theft, according to the docket of his court case.

“I asked William Hodge what he was doing when he was throwing the alligator up in the air. William Hodge advised he was 'teaching it a lesson,'” said Daytona Beach police officer Molly Billue.

quote:

Hodge allegedly hopped the fence of Congo River Golf, a miniature golf course in the area, and stole a live alligator from an enclosure on the course.

He then allegedly took the alligator to the Metz Lounges, a bar and liquor store, grabbed it by the tail, and tried to throw it onto the roof.

After only hitting the awning of the bar, he took it by the tail again, put it over his shoulder, threw it to the ground, and stomped on it twice, police said.

When officers made contact with Hodge, he put the creature down and raised his hands, surrendering to police.

And just when you thought Billie Hodge had given up the fight after laying his assault gator on the ground....

quote:

While in the holding cell, Hodge allegedly balled up toilet paper and clogged the cell’s toilet and drain in an attempt to flood the station, Billue said.

God bless you, Florida. You keep being you.

Professional reenactment. Do not attempt at home.

Why does a golf course have enclosed alligators?

They enclose them until swamp people comes and gets them?

This Fla guy is an imbecile, trying to clog the jail toilet to flood the place and stealing a gator to throw-- should put him in the tard house.

Officer Molly needs to refine her report writing skills.

Mr. Hodge didn't " advise " her of anything. He informed, told, said, explained, stated... but not 'advised '.

Almost. An obvious lack of face / neck tattoos. Though he does display the genetic disposition of your garden variety Antifa scum.

This is the face of a man that has seen some shite, done some shite, and been some shite.

Honestly, I doubt very seriously that stealing an alligator and trying to throw it on top of a bar is the most bizarre shite this Florida man has ever done. Probably just barely makes his top-10 floridaman-done-some-shite list.

I've had otters take advantage of my sprinkler system while taking their evening stroll, gators too. Not to mention the rattleboogers, that decide they like to dine in your wifes flower beds.

This guy has thrown other animals on the roof to teach them lessons. You just don't start out with an alligator.

Where was it that someone was upset with their fast food order and threw an alligator in the drive thru window?

Had to be Florida.

Edit: It was...

Joshua James, 24, threw a 3.5 foot alligator through a Palm Beach County Wendy’s drive-thru window nearly four months ago, according to Florida Fish Wildlife and Conservation officials. He was also charged with illegally possessing an alligator and petty theft.

A report that James drove his pickup truck to the window at about 1:20 a.m. Oct. 11 was written by wildlife officer Nicholas Guerin. When an employee handed James his drink, he tossed an alligator through the window and sped off.
