He extended the state of emergency to give flexibility to state and local entities.

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has chosen to extend his “state of emergency” order that broadens his powers to respond to the pandemic.
The order was set to expire at midnight Tuesday. The governor had until 11:59 p.m. Monday to extend it further. On Tuesday afternoon, the governor’s office said the order had been extended for another 60 days.

I’m still trying to sort through the reams of information you provided.

The public has pretty well spoken in most places regardless of whatever “emergency” we’re under. Wear a mask, don’t wear a mask. Nobody says anything.

How is a question supposed to provide reams of information?

Good to hear. Would be nice for some Gov to open everything up with no emergency orders

Nothing is changing on the ground.

DeSantis has played this almost perfectly.

Florida's "numbers" are up...with the number of people who squall about numbers he is playing it right.

For his future presidential run.

South Florida is overrun with northerners and their attitudes.

They are still in full pandemic mode down there.

Come to the panhandle. We have not really participated in the pandemic from the beginning.

East coast breezes make that part of Florida (Jupiter) tolerable and knock the bugs down.

Stay near the coast and the wind helps.

frick Orlando though. Africa hot.

I’m in PCB, Destin has grown too much and the traffic is a nightmare.

Condo prices have gone absolutely out of sight within the past month or so.

Not a great time to buy. But everything is wide open here. Only people that wear masks are the tourist.

You should be able to go maskless when you visit. I think he extended the emergency order so people can still get the Covid shots.

More like he doesn't want the state to go thru the process and he has emergency powers.

What's the big deal? Lib govs and states aren't even close to Florida, I live in one and these emergency orders even apply to mayors that had councils approve emergency authority.
