You guys need to start paying attention to the other side. They openly state their plans to pack the courts and eventually rewrite the constitution.

Will we ever see reasonable firearms and ammo prices under the upcoming Democratic regime?

I guess there's a few ways to look at it, IMO. What is reasonable? I mean as we know the basics are supply and demand and when 5x more people are buying firearms today than a few years ago, the price of ammo will reflect accordingly. It's VERY difficult to mass produce ammo from scratch so it's not like start ups can enter the marketplace without disrupted the raw material market so EVERYTHING up stream would have to ramp up.

I believe the prices are never going to go down again, at best stabilize but with looming inflation due to massive debt, even an increase in supply might now help.

But, how much do you actually NEED? Believe me, it's my opinion that you can buy as much as you want but if you're purchasing for a "protection" type of scenario then the reality is you don't need all that much because if it's one vs one, one of you will go down quickly and if it's you vs. the ATF, how long do you think you can hold them off at the door after you take down a few at best?

They're going to put everything under the NFA and effectively kill the 2nd amendment.

Ammo will be a lot more expensive because of new taxes. Dems will never go directly at guns as they know they will lose in the courts.

They won’t have to, the next generation will give them back for a $50 Amazon card. They’re being indoctrinated in school faster than we can correct them. Hell they’ll probably turn in their parents to the gestapo.

Yeah, it'll probably be a roller coaster. Millions of ARs were built and sold under Obama. I remember waiting like 6 months to get an upper. But then pretty quickly things would ease up for a while.

Same here. I still remember working the phones constantly to order each component at reasonable prices. Was able to but it took some effort.

That’s a great point - the reality of volume needed. A prolonged engagement without supply/support is pretty unrealistic. Seems like in the kind of scenario where one would really need (and use) 3000 rounds they’d be more likely to starve out than get shot, due to the surrounding circumstances. Just spitballing though.

Seemed like every time I got a BCG or whatever I was after within a month or two there would be tons available. I kind of expect the same this time, but the ammo prices are worrisome. On one hand, legal/legislative issues aside, it's the easiest piece to produce locally. On the other, I question whether $1/round shite 9mm can ever be "reasonable" again. Once we get used to it...

No, new norm. In a year or so, it will be more available. Prices will never down!

The Democrats will never outright ban guns, but they'll make it so damn inconvenient to own one that Joe Citizen won't want to go through the red tape and expense to buy one or for the local gun store to sell them.

Meanwhile, thousands of criminals in Chicago and Baltimore won't be searched for illegal weapons because of concerns of racial profiling.

Are the materials imported for most ammunition? This could be more of a raw materials supply contraint driven issue than it is a function of demand. Although its probably both.

Aww it's the inability to expand capacity with an extreme demand surge.

Just helped a friend of mines daughter get a Pistol. She looked at the Sig 365, the Hellcat, and a Glock 43. She went with the Glock due to the feel and she could rack the slide much easier. She paid $570 and change tax and all. 100 bucks for 2 Boxes of FMJ and 1 Box of Self Defense stuff.

Note, no pics, and yes, she is Hot!

Not unless Trump stays. I think they will intentionally lower ammo for the next four years. The good Lord knows we're going to need time to rebuild stock for the end of Trump's 8th year. Good thing I can make my own bullets.
