Maybe this guy was a religious fanatic, "educated" at a Saudi-funded Madrasa to do nothing other than memorize verses of the Qu'ran and hate America. Or maybe he was a Westernized, but disaffected, former Afghan soldier who now hates America for abandoning his country. Or maybe he is just batshit crazy. Or maybe some combination of all those things. Or maybe none of them.
Beyond the fact that the attacks were reprehensible, only an idiot would form an opinion about his motivations at this early date.
