Nah - just lies that are always told to cover their arse - if name is released and you let her social media speak for itself, I wouldn’t have a problem with it. When you hide, scrub, lie, propaganda folks, and delay, you cause your own problems. Common sense folks radar goes up. The left has no common sense.

Even if that’s true, there are several things more egregious than her error IMO:
1. Having those training sessions permitted in that time and location to begin with
2. Not changing the policy after multiple close calls in the preceding days
3. The guy with more experience who was training her on that flight had more culpability than she did in my opinion (I could be wrong about this, but that’s my current opinion)
4. Not enough eyes in the tower

The UH60 collided with the starboard side of the commercial aircraft. Assuming the commercial pilot was focused front and down to line up with Runway 33, his co-pilot presumably had starboard visual responsibility for monitoring and avoiding conflicts with other aircraft. Plus there’s a lot of reporting of the DCA tower being dramatically short staffed.
I’m starting to think there’s other factors contributing to the accident than just UH60 pilot error.

She had already been cleared for landing, and visually acknowledged the jet, which is typical in a VFR tower area (which is generally 3 miles around the tower...but can be wider given the traffic, or lack thereof. It was on her at this point.
It was a last second 35 degree turn and altitude change....all very quickly. Eyes in the tower wouldn't have mattered, even if she hadn't already been cleared. I can't comment on what the Instructor was doing.
