Politico: Financial regulator investigates Adam Kinzinger over Kalshi trading
The CFTC is targeting trades the former House Republican made related to his Biden-era pardon.
Replying to @JewelsJonesLive
3.) He trades two contracts.
One on whether Joe Biden will issue preemptive pardons before leaving office.
One on whether Adam Kinzinger will personally receive a pardon.

The whole lot are crooked. His pardon isn't worth the paper it was printed on, but I'd LMAO if this is the thing that takes him down first.

Did the pardon cover all acts in a certain time period?
Even if it did, Kalshi and people on the other side of those bets still have a tort.

Allowing people to bet on politics and everything else was a bad idea.
Gambling invites corruption. We don't need more corruption in politics or business. Keep gambling to sports and casinos.

idk man. If people are allowed to bet on stupid shite like this and a guy thinks he has low odds of getting a pardon, he ought to be able to bet the fricking house on it.
