It is all nonsense. The mob and rioters were incapable of insurrection. They have absolutely no power to overthrow the government. They had no organization. They had no ability to effect change in any manner whatsoever. they were wholly and completely unable to topple the most powerful government in the world.
They were some out of line hecklers. They didn't storm the capital with fiery speeches. They took selfies. They were closer to football fans storming the field than they were to revolutionaries.

This is what they wanted sparked and they wanted some shooting (not just the Capitol police shooting someone)... They need an event to justify their crackdown and they wanted to include the 2A...
Since it did not rise to the level they wanted and expected, they will now create such an event OR such an event that was thwarted... I fully expect for more information to come out about how weapons caches were found and seized BEFORE the crowds could get back to them and carry out their full plans...

95% of the people involved were strolling around taking selfies
I won't claim it wasn't violent in nature (partially) or lawless or dangerous, but "seconds away from mass casualties!" is just such a joke.

They actually may be able to make a case against the ones carrying zip ties.
What other purposes would they be undertaking than restraining against the will of the restrainee which is called wrongful imprisonment and/or kidnapping? It's not like they were planning to rewire the electricity or something.
Just pretty dumb on those few individuals part. Shoulda stayed outside the building or dumped the zips before entering, even though they probably were just LARP'ing.
