NARA granted an extension that Trump requested. Biden overrode that and had the boxes sent to the DOJ denying the opportunity for Trump to see if any of the docs were privileged.

The extension period ran. Trump then asked for another extension and, alternatively, made a "protective assertion" of EP. The Archivist then sent a letter back to Trump explaining why he (edit: she) wasn't recognizing either. You can read the letter if you're curious.

likely took a bunch of privileged stuff.

And materials that implicated attorney/client privilege should be segregated in accordance with the search warrant. What's the problem?

We will see if the special master agrees they were. You give the benefit of the doubt to federal agencies that obtained illegal fisa warrants. That said hunters laptop was Russian disinformation. 17 intelligence agencies! Trump vs. fbi. Who has acted better?

Yet you still lick the boots. Because of your political views.

He ignores precedence and he ignores how the govt agencies have illegally handled trump…over and over. All because of political affiliation. That’s fascism.

This report and your statement aren’t necessarily at odds with each other.

I think it is safe to assume that Biden has little say in many of the directives coming from the “Biden White House.”

The Assistant Attorney General has advised me that there is no precedent for an assertion of executive privilege by a former Presidentagainstan incumbent Presidentto prevent the latter from obtaining from NARA Presidential records belonging to the Federal Government where “such records contain information that is needed for the conduct of current business of the incumbent President’s office and that is not otherwise available.” 44 U.S.C. § 2205(2)(B).

So the incumbent president needed these docs to conduct the business of the incumbent presidents office. And they were not otherwise available. Is that your assertion?

If so…I can’t wait for the special master to reveal what those are. Otherwise it is weaponizing the fed gov against a political opponent. Thank you for making my point. Unless, of course, the Biden admin can demonstrate which docs prevented him from conducting the business of his admin.

Yes or no?

Not necessary. Either he states trump held documents that prevented Biden from carrying out his duties and weren’t otherwise available or his argument is null. What is it Decatur?

To continue where your quote left off

quote:

Those conditions are satisfied here. As the Department of Justice’s National Security Division explained to you on April 29, 2022:

There are important national security interests in the FBI and others in the Intelligence Community getting access to these materials. According to NARA, among the materials in the boxes are over 100 documents with classification markings, comprising more than 700 pages. Some include the highest levels of classification, including Special Access Program (SAP) materials. Access to the materials is not only necessary for purposes of our ongoing criminal investigation, but the Executive Branch must also conduct an assessment of the potential damage resulting from the apparent manner in which these materials were stored and transported and take any necessary remedial steps. Accordingly, we are seeking immediate access to these materials so as to facilitate the necessary assessments that need to be conducted within the Executive Branch.

So, Biden couldn’t carry on his investigation of trump? And they weren’t otherwise available. Is that your assertion?
