A federal judge on Wednesday issued a ruling blocking federal immigration agents from making warrantless arrests in Oregon, joining Washington D.C. and Colorado with similar rules in place.
The decision is based on M-J-M-A v. Wamsley, a lawsuit the Portland-based Innovation Law Lab filed late last year against federal immigration agencies on behalf of two people Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents detained in October without a warrant.

So they can't make warrantless arrests even when supported by probable cause? How can a judge rule something like that?

Being in the US illegally is considered a civil offense, not criminal. Therefore, a judicial warrant isn't needed.

He's not a real judge.
The only reason he's on the bench is DEI. That phrase 'first Muslim' says it all and was the only reason he was appointed by the autopen.

If they have probable cause or reasonable suspicion they can detain citizens like us.
