That had child porn on their computer. Although glad to see them get busted it violated 4th amendment rights. What do you think?

Why did they need to be paid? Evidence of a crime. Should be able to prosecute the geeks if they didn't report them.

Remember: Democrats worship the FBI.

Ergo, Democrats worship the unconstitutional invasion of privacy.

I took my computer to Geek Squad. They took a couple of days, saying they needed at least 24 hours to run diagnostics. I asked to speak to the tech and they told me techs aren't allowed to come out and talk to customers (they're in the back). Finally got my computer back but I'm pretty sure they have the sheriff's office back there just looking for kiddie porn the entire time.

Me picking up my computer:

Tech: "You're good. She's clean."

Me: "Cool. So what was the problem?"

Tech: "'Problem'?"

Or did they pay them to load child porn on them?

Never let anyone have your electronic devices. I had every hard drive from every computer I had ever owned until December when I finally trashed them.

Having worked for a company that sued Geek Squad for intellectual property theft, I wouldn't trust those techs with my Avis Wizard number let alone something that could send someone to prison.

Pedos belong in jail. Stupid ones get to go first.

If they violated the 4th, couldn't the suspects they catch just seek to exclude the evidence?

So are they actually looking through files and photos while they are making repairs?

How would they have known they were violated at the time?

Their lawyer would ask how they got the evidence?

Yeah this is bullshite. They're basically using someone else as a proxy so they don't have to get a warrant to search.

Doubt geek squad peeps need to get into a customer's pictures/movies to complete their work and are only doing so at fbi direction.

Outside of obvious child porn, what happened when someone was turned in for something that might have looked young, but turned out not to be?

Child porn? I have zero problem with this, assuming it's rather obvious child porn. And any of y'all that do... well... too bad. It's frickin' child porn. They need to be buried underneath the jail by whatever means necessary.

We stumbled across these images.

Don't trust the FBI and never trust anyone with your electronic devices.

Uh, of course they are. You're dropping your shite off to be repaired by dumbasses who can't even hack it as a basic help desk bubba.

24 hours for diagnostics translates to "one hour to run through my checklist, the rest of the time to dig through your files"

I've kind of wondered the same thing concerning cell phones.

They have a disc named MRI that does the simpleton shite at the store. They just have to run it and check boxes. Anything substantial must be sent to an offsite facility.
