People are responsible for their own actions. If someone wants to criticize Trump, he has done plenty for people to attack. Trying to assign blame to him for the actions of the apparently deranged, doesn't fly with me.

If he tried to make these devices actually explode, they arent a hoax by definition

If they were real bombs, then they weren't hoaxes. If they weren't, then they were hoaxes. Period.

So, if they believe all he did was put together a device made to look like a bomb to scare people, with not method of detonation or explosive material, how are they wrong in calling that a hoax? What definition of hoax are you using?

They are wrong because no sane minded rational thinking unbiased person would lean to this being a hoax at this point

If they were fake bombs and people believed them to be real, then it was a successful hoax.

Read your own definition t bird "to trick"

Look up other definitions as well

For it to be a hoax, it has to be that he made a knowing deliberate attempt for these devices not to work and to only fool people

This part simply isnt debatable

No sane minded person would lean to thinking that someone would send people fake bombs? Okay

So, what would you call leaving out all explosive material and firing mechanisms?

Officials say it was likely delivered by hand rather than mail, allowing it to reach its destination undetected.

So, he traveled to NY and back to South Florida since Monday.

Should be easy to corroborate that much travel.

Unless he was flying (and, I'll say it, almost certainly with these devices that would have been picked up by security screening), which is unlikely, there is no way he traveled to CA - so he must have mailed them.

If not, then he had an accomplice. And the coordination on the delivery of this via the USPS (at least for some) is pretty incredible.

A fricking retard?

This isnt debatable. If this guy wanted his devices to explode, and in his mind they were made to explode, this isnt a hoax

We don't, but it is reasonable to think he tried and failed to make real bombs considering the statement from the FBI that they were not hoax devices.

He was competent enough to come up with this plan, get the addresses of all the recipients, mail or deliver them without arousing suspicion, but not competent enough to watch a YouTube video on how to build a bomb, or at least attempt to make the packages incomspicuious enough that they had at least a slight chance of not being intercepted. These were designed to be found, and cause as much negative media attention for Trump as possible.

Like I said. This is the crux of what makes something a "hoax."

quote:

For it to be a hoax, it has to be that he made a knowing deliberate attempt for these devices not to work and to only fool people

No, what I'm saying is that the only criteria that has to be met for the bombs to be hoaxes is for him to make people believe they were bombs even if they were not.

If the bombs weren't real, then they were successful hoaxes, by definition.

This is not true.

Do I know for certain? Not yet

But I would be a tin foil hat right wing weirdo to think it was a deliberate hoax at this point, considering the FBI who found and arrested him said it wasnt........
