In a letter to The Federalist justifying its refusal to provide the request records, the FBI claimed that the request for emails to and from a specific domain sent or received on two specific dates was “overly broad,” did not provide “enough detail to enable personnel to locate” the records, and sought information in “vague and undefined terms.” The FBI further claimed that the underlying request itself, which specified both the date and the sender’s or recipient’s email domain, did not comply with federal regulations regarding requests for information made under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

We can replace them with the best investigative team around, the OT Lounge.

They could not screw up any worse.

At least the OT'ers never shot up a concert in LV and failed to figure out how such could and did happen, or allowed shooters at schools even though warning reports were made, never ignored foreign intel about radicalized kids maybe bombing an annual citywide marathon...

Seconded, it became a corrupt organization the day of its inception.

As someone that's worked in IT for 20 years and has had to deal with requests like this before, that entire phrase is not just complete and utter bullshite but the parameters of the request are far more specific than most.

This country is in very serious trouble. Please forget your biases for a few days and truly open your minds to the national security deficit we now face because we have lots of traitors in high positions in intelligence agencies. I know what I speak!

Welcome.

Don't know and don't care if you lean Left or Right. We need an awakening in this country whether there is an R or a D or whatever you may associate with politically on your voter ID Card.

Light is the only thing that will expose that "very serious trouble" most of us agree has enveloped our great and beautiful Country.

Post More.

Just means a lawsuit will be filed and a judge will rule whether the request was sufficiently specific and such?

A lot of judges at the local levels not only rely on LEOs to be honest, they'll even tell the officers what they need to approve warrants. Why people don't believe it happens at the Fed level is beyond me.

A child knows what they are requesting, if they did not do it a simple no would have sufficed; therefore, its obvious they did contact them.

Im also sick and tired of people saying the doj/fbi has a few bad apples at the top, the whole barrel is corrupt.

You have 29 of the "so called" rank and file raid an old mans home while brandishing weapons, and not one, not one says....this is not America. And dont give me the bullshite about scared about pension, horseshat, destroying other peoples lives for 30 pieces of silver is no way to go through life.

This act of denial is another example OF THE RANK AND FILE being corrupt.

Yep. The," I'm just following orders" line is not a good enough excuse.

The rank and file is that way due to the culture created by the leadership. Purge the leadership and change the culture and the rank and file will improve.
