That wasn't the point of my statement. My point was that Facebook willingly provided the NSA loads of information about its users without their consent. This is data that even most authoritarian regimes have some trouble obtaining, but the nature of Facebook makes all this metadata available to the government with a click of a button by a Facebook executive.
Because of Facebook, nothing is private anymore, which directly affects our 4th Amendment rights, as the court's guide for what is an unreasonbale search and seizure is dependent on whether or not there is a reasonable expectation of privacy. Facebook has created a generation of people who think nothing is private, that every detail of their life is public fodder. This to me is dangerous.
