There are few people in all of government who have made me more furious than this arrogant, entitled little imp. Who else had the gall to say "I am science. If you question me, you're questioning science"? (Not sure that's a direct quote, but the meaning holds).

IMO it still could be from the lab and it being just human error. Not deliberate.
But the problem with places like this is they are researching how they can defend against a natural outbreak or a bio weapon.
