Vimeo and Daily motion are viable competing platforms to YouTube? I suppose MySpace is a viable competitor to Facebook too?

When Jones called for the assassination of Bob Mueller, he went too far.

Your insipid insistence on remaining uneducated about global technology trends is interesting. Facebook stock just cratered because their growth has stumbled to just a trickle. Vimeo, however, grew to 715 million views in May 2018 with year over year growth in views of 80%.

I reported a user to Facebook that prayed that someone would assassinate our president. 4 days later Facebook I received the message that he broke no community rules.

Praying about something isn’t the same as suggesting that they were going to do it, or asking that someone do it. I pray daily that Trump will change his ways. No one is writing me thank you notes for changing the President.

Hubba, you know you and I are the same on 98% of the issues, why you insist to debate nuances is astounding.

Facebook is trying to walk the line of being about giving a platform for people to speak and silencing speech that people find offensive. It’s their platform to do so but by becoming the speech police they’ve opened up a huge ethical can of worms for themselves. I don’t like Alex Jones but as far as I know he hasn’t called for violence nor posted anything illegal or pornographic so this ultimately comes down to just Facebook doesn’t like him.

Since they’ve become the de facto platform for a huge percentage of the world (same thing with Twitter) they should hold themselves to a higher ethical standard for protecting the freedom of expression and speech of its users.

Facebook suspends Alex Jones, YouTube removes 4 videos and gives him a strike (for the second time this year).

I wonder if Alex has ever heard the saying "When everyone you interact with seems like an a-hole, you're the a-hole."?

Yes.

You seem to think success means you have no viable competitors.

Yugo was a competitor to Toyota, Nissan, Honda, etc. at one point. They were a piece of shite, but still competitors.

Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter are not monopolies no matter how much you stamp your feet and insist that they are.

Because I want you to be a better man than you are. That 2% is important.

Did you know that roughly 96 percent of the mass of the human body is made up of just four elements: oxygen, carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen, with a lot of that in the form of water. The remaining 4 percent is a sparse sampling of the periodic table of elements. Without that other 4% you're nothing but a bunch of gas and charcoal.

Small things matter.

I am proud to be one of the handful of millennials in this country to have never logged onto facebook.

Also, proud to be taking the wore proud to a different level

With the amount of stock FB insiders were selling in Q1 and Q2 of this year, I would launch a White House public investigation.

What precipitated that growth? I’ve seen videos on there before but it always seemed empty and buffered like a SOB

Facebook is really only used by Russians and the LGBTQP community these days.

Corporations like sending people to Vimeo because of the lack of ads (re: competitors). When you send your customers to YouTube, your customers can get distracted by ads, competitor videos and grandma's latest cute cat video.

I reported a guy on Facebook who said he was going to go to the WH and kill DJT and he actually drove to the WH and was arrested at the gate and FB said there was nothing wrong with the post. It was so unbelievable that I sent a screenshot of their response to Mike Cernovich

Where's the problem?

The problem is they are a forum. So there are some things, because of what and how they market themselves, that crosses over into protected free speech.

If it was censorship why would they ban his personal account and not his fringe radio show account?

Chicken says, "Bull fricking shite" eveytime a post or thread is whacked or a poster gets the ban hammer.

You saying Twitter and Facebook don't have those same rights and/or justifications?
