Millions of pounds potentially wasted...

FDA says Taylor Farms Cyclospora lettuce test was a false positive
Taylor Fresh Foods said it was informed that the FDA made a mistake

quote:

The Food and Drug Administration said Sunday that a Taylor Farms lettuce sample initially reported as positive for Cyclospora should be considered a false positive following an additional laboratory review.

"Due to the complexity in detection of Cyclospora, FDA laboratory experts re-reviewed the sample results and have concluded that the finding does not represent true amplification and should be considered a false positive," the agency said.

The FDA said no product samples had produced a confirmed positive result for Cyclospora as of Sunday.

Just saw this. The amount of people lately with stomach issues is a concern that’s probably beyond lettuce.

People who get stomach issues from Taco Bell probably think garlic mayonnaise is spicy.

There seems to be a competition for who has the most delicate tummy.

Taylor Farms should send a bill to FDA for wasted product and damaged perception.

Absolutely. This will cost them tens of millions, conservatively.

And we still don't know where this disease is coming from.

I was told Lettuce Man Bad because he donated to Trump and paid off government inspectors to ignore oversight which led to the rampant cases of the Taco Bell runs. I’m sure that same crowd will just claim that he paid for a false positive too.

Taco Bell is closer to a science experiment than food.

I love real Mexican food... so, I know real Mexican food and have a high threshold for spicy foods... But have you ever eaten taco bell? It makes you blow mud big time.

Especially the combo of drinking heavily and finishing your night/early AM with a Taco Bell binge.

I've seen similar. Now they'll do their best to pin this failed diagnostic on him.

It's a huge frickup. That 'positive' should have been verified 8 ways to Sunday before any results went out.

Whoever did the testing should be shown the door.

About the most bland food you can get. Now I guess they let you pick the hottness with the sauces but I like my spices cooked into the food and not poured on.

I guess it’s just a coincidence that Bruce Taylor of Taylor Farms is a big Trump donor. Amazingly there was a complete turnaround to say that the test was a false positive.

Y’all go ahead and take your chances and eat lettuce from Taylor Farms if you want.
