Correct. This is why I posted it. It was a big topic at the time and now there is third party "verification."
I think the other poster was correct when they suggested the nitrate was bomb making material. And as I said in the OP, it lends strong support to the idea that was a weapons depot.

You are leaving out one key fact here. When the Beirut barracks bombing happened Ukraine was part of the USSR which means the Russians would be connected to it.

Well if you are not talking about the bombing that happened in the 80’s my bad. You kind of need to specify though because there are so many bombings that happen in the Middle East it’s kind of hard to keep them all straight just off the top of someones head. The one that happened in the 80’s that killed over 200 US Marines is the most well know in Beirut.

TBH you got me on this one. I didn’t really read to much I just seen the word Beirut and my mind jumped to that one because I remember when it happened even though I was pretty young.
There are certain events that happen in life like 9/11 Where you remember places, times and the people you was with when it happened. Well that 1980’s bombing is one of those events for me so sorry for not reading before I jumped in and answered.
