Every Parent Knows Why Republicans Cannot Give In to the Democrat Shutdown Tantrum

Most Americans are probably more than ready for the federal government shutdown -- now the longest in U.S history -- to end.
But how it ends is very important. As any parent or anyone who has observed a two-year-old throwing a tantrum knows, if you give in to unrealistic demands now, it will be worse down the road.
That candy bar grabbed at the checkout line today will become many more in the days ahead if the child is screaming and stomping to get it. It is a power play, and parents must enforce their authority.
If the Democrats succeed in extorting out of Republicans, who are in charge, even a one-year extension of the Obamacare enhanced subsidies, which are due to expire at the end of this year by the Democrats' own legislation, the demands will be more the next time there needs to be a short-term extension of government funding.
Elections have consequences. The Democrats lost last fall, and they are trying to leverage their minority position in the Senate into $1.5 trillion in new healthcare spending and a rollback of the Medicaid reforms, such as work and citizenship requirements, that Republicans put in the "Big Beautiful Bill."

This is true.
Congressional GOP lacks spine.
If Trump wasnt President, they'd have folded weeks ago.

That tends to happen when 95% of legacy media is working on behalf of the Democrats

Younger folks arent reading legacy media though. Need better outreach.
Without it, people will always blame the party in power for the shutdown.
