Thanks a lot 'allies'. We know where your priorities are.

Europe minesweepers for Ukraine

quote:

By June 2026, the Ukrainian Navy's fleet will reportedly expand with five mine countermeasure vessels transferred by allies. All of them will be temporarily based in the UK, but are viewed as key assets for future operations in the Black Sea after the end of the war, the Presidential Office reports.

This group of vessels effectively forms a new core of Ukraine’s mine countermeasures capabilities, according to ArmyInform.

So they’re sending actual functioning ships to be parked in the UK until after the war? And do they know when that’s happening?

Our first president, George Washington, warned us in his Fair Well Address to avoid becoming entangled in the affairs of Europe. That continent has been at each others' throats centuries before the Middle East got stirred up. Time to cut the mooring line and let that little bateau known as NATO drift out on the tide.
