Ivy League in general is going to have a lot of this same problem.
A number of schools do stupid shite but the Ivy League ones tend to be on the cutting edge of stupid shite, in part because their reps and endowments shield them from consequences.

Lower end schools are a lot more vulnerable to actions by businesses, alums, etc, than ones with a ton of money and stroke.
That isn’t to say it doesn’t happen, but Chico State is more vulnerable to this than a member of the University of California system.

I have my own thoughts on these protests, but I'm referring to the guy. He's not hiring Columbia grads? Who the hell cares? Does he want a pat on the back from right wing Twitter or something?

For whatever reason, Columbia seems to be the genesis of this particular astroturfed "movement".
Personally, I think it's because it's located in NYC, and this loon Judge Merchan is forcing Trump to show up in court each day for this bogus hush money trial. My guess is they're hoping these protests eventually intersect with the folks who are showing up in support of Trump.
ETA - It's worth noting that apparently Columbia is way up on the NW side of Manhattan, while the NY Supreme Court building is down on the extreme south end of the island. The only thing worse than my NY geography is my knowledge of California.

I’m still waiting to see proof that these protestors are actually antisemitic and violent against Jews. It does not count if like 95% of the protesters are peaceful.

Sounds good at first but there are plenty of good people coming out of Columbia. It's not just a Columbia thing either, these freaks are at schools everywhere. He'd be better off simply saying I won't hire leftists

My cousin is a 2nd year student there and he’s “come home” and has been home for the last 1.5-2 weeks due to this crap.
