Well that and neutron star collisions. But most of the gold would have to come from the former, not the latter (there just aren't enough neutron star collisions to account for all the gold).

If we revalue gold, we don’t need as much physically. We “lease” gold to other countries and they probably “sublease” to other countries. It’s all a shell game and/or Ponzi scheme. It may be for the best that the masses don’t realize what’s going on in some areas of our treasury, lol.
