I think he's saying that the death penalty is a conservative plank, and that only uncivilized countries in the world still support the idea of capital punishment. ie, conservatives are uncivilized.

Yet he's completely fine with the evisceration and vacuuming of babies.

It might come back;

You are, without a doubt, one of the dumbest individuals on this planet.

i'm not fine with that at all. I don't think a clump of cells that can't feel pain is a "baby".

You know I think about how stupid I was to get you unbanned all the time and I'm forced to agree.

but the person receiving said injection certainly has a fully developed cerebral cortex.

Once you can't feel pain we can kill you?
And why does the ability to feel pain make one human?

You know your obsession with catching people you don't agree with in a "gotcha" moment really detracts from your ability to develop a intellectually honest framework.

Well this thread has gone to shite.
I wanted to see some discussion on the problem states have acquiring the necessary drugs that pass legal muster. Oh well.

For all you who support the death penalty, do you actually trust our justice system in Louisiana to not execute an innocent man? I encourage you to read about John Thompson who was wrongfully convicted under Harry Connick, Sr's watch.
Murder is wrong, and no man nor a government should commit.

Seeing how rare executions are, seems strange.

It's why the death penalty should only be used where guilt is not even close to debatable and its beyond and without a reasonable doubt.
Just because I support the death penalty doesn't mean I support the state going all over the place with it. Taking a life is a heavy thing and should not be taken lightly.

No, I don't trust the state. I do believe that certain individuals should be forcibly removed from society, though.
The question is who should get to decide who is punished.
I nominate myself.
