It depends on the situation. I have little grandkids running all over the place, so the danger of an accident is far greater than the danger averted by being armed. But if it was just me and my wife I’d have a bedside gun.

I remember running around my grandparents, my home home, and other family members homes with a shotgun by the door. Teaching them young is key.

My 17 month old grandson had a screwdriver in his hand this morning. He had opened a drawer that was above his head and grabbed it. Sorry man, you and your grandparents got lucky. The risk of losing my grandkid to accidental gun discharge is way greater than the chance of using the gun to protect us.
