1) JBE sucks so bad that anyone with an "R" next to his name that makes the runoff will automatically win because they have an "R" and JBE sucks so bad

Wrong I’m in the second camp.
I think it’s going to be a tough race, Edwards has the power behind him, but he’s vulnerable.

But there's a common thread in that, don't you see?
That the same result can't repeat itself with different factors?
There's a first time for everything. We'll find out this fall.

2) JBE is beatable, but he does have a lot of support, does have some things he can run on (even though most of us don't like them) and it's going to take a good campaign and actual legit ideas to beat him.
While you're ignoring that this is not 2015 where he can just sneak into the runoff after watching republicans beat the crap out of each other, will be running against candidates who are a hell of a lot cleaner than Vitter ever was at any point in his life, will have to defend his record and will have to survive Trump and Pence coming to town if it's close in the polls.
I have not seen a single poll where he has the necessary 50.1% to win outright the first round and he's barely leading against two candidates that don't have good name recognition for the head to head and those polls are asking way more democrats than republicans.

The problem is our state is full of retards. Things like slash and burn taxes/services work on one side, and tax the rich works for the other. Things are more nuanced than that - our infrastructure is already dogshit. What business will come here if we even invest less in it? The real solution is to change how the money is spent, how public bidding is done, etc

Whoever he hired to run his campaign dropped the ball.
Rispone actually had the campaign manager for Bill Lee's successful run for Tennessee Governor lined up for same position but he decided to take a job as Lee's Chief of Staff at the last minute instead.

He needs to find someone competent, it’s fricking April and I doubt that 95% of the state knows who he is.

This Billboard is perfection and needs to be placed along the entire 10 corridor between New Orleans and Lafayette.
ETA: it has confirmed that I will vote for him. If anyone knows anyone in his campaign, tell them to start a bidding war with Gordon McKernon.

JBE is doing a helluva job cleaning up the mess left behind by Jindal. Lying Eddie doesn't stand a chance against JBE and neither do any of the other Repbublican misfits who've been mentioned

When you're still talking about Jindal in 2019 as opposed to running on your record or bashing the republicans that are actually running instead of a former Governor that's done with politics, you have nothing at all.

100% don't support Edwards and his liberal agenda and also don't think Rispone has a chance.
Can't take him for face value.. Guy has a long standing employee that works for him for 25 years that gets severely hurt in an industrial accident and no one from his company or himself even reaches out to him or his family to check on him. Doesn't give a shite about his own people that put his company to where it is today,, so what makes you think he gives a shite about the people of this state? He doesn't. It's an aspiration.. When it comes down to the LA Repub Party endorsing a candidate, it won't be him and he will be forced to back out.
Abraham gets my vote.

The LA GOP is not going to endorse anyone. That's not what they're for, especially since this is a jungle primary state.
They will support whoever makes the runoff against JBE and publicly "endorse" him.

Anyone but JBE.
As always, "Conservatives for JBE" are still idiots.

Got anymore info on this, would be curious to hear some details and not just your vague statement

Incredibly untrue

I'm sure this will be an unpopular comment, but Louisiana's problems are less ideological in nature, and more about straight up corruption and waste.
And it's even more pronounced at the local level than perhaps the state level (splitting hairs, maybe).
New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Mandeville, Lafayette, Lake Charles. It's everywhere from the big cities to the small towns. It's a "cultural" problem. It's just not a forward-thinking place.
Texas and California are both immensely more successful than Louisiana ever will be. They're very different but people move to those places for opportunities. Louisiana is an economic vaccuum

Not throwing company names or putting personal information out there with respect for the family of the guy that was injured, but has been employed with his company for many years. Accident occured this year while at work to which the guy is still recovering from. No one from his company has reached out to check in on him, etc.
From his wife on FB: "My family and I fully intended on supporting Eddie Rispone for governor until..... my husband was hurt at "X" and none of the owners of ISC Constructors being Eddie Rispone or Jerry Rispone cared to call, send a plant or even visit to see the condition of my husband "X", who has been employed for ISC for many years. If this is how you treat one of your supervisors at work.... I can only imagine how you would treat the citizens of Louisiana!!!! Shame on you, Eddie Rispone and the rest of ISC Constructors!!!!
Isn't the first of this nature to happen under his company with similar circumstances. Again, zero political track record.. Outside of Baton Rouge and the industrial world, no one has a clue of who he is or what he stands for..

Meh. Blame the trial lawyers for creating the hyper adversarial climate between hurt EEs and their ERs in the workers comp environment that results in this.

Can you explain what the mess was that Jindal left?
The government might have been left wounded but Jindal protected the “State” from taxes.
Jindals faults are related to his failures to cut government more.
