It is a benefit to you, the consumer which is all that matters here.

Buy it, add value, create wealth. You've just added to the American economy with the help of China.

Honest answer, do you really think that is the goal of communist China?

You mean this nation that is economically doomed due to their own policies?

Commies are protectionist. The issue is you cant be a protectionist nation and expect to have a booming economy.

Trump said the tariffs are in response to other countries’ tariffs which is a lie.
If a country doesn't put a tariff percentage on goods from the US, but it creates impedements to our goods selling in that country it is restricting our ability to trade. You seem hung up on the word tariff. Most liberals and women get bent out of shape over words. Remember when Trump said that we'd build the wall and mexico would pay for it? I bet you said he lied there too. What Trump was saying is that building the wall will keep the illegal invades south of the border. America wouldn't have to take care of them, mexico would. At some point, the total amount that mexico spent to take care of the illegal invaders (and America did not pay) would equal the amount paid to build the wall. Mexico saved us the amount we paid for the wall. Mexico paid for it.

If you can't understand that, try this. I bought sawmill that I use to cut trees from my own land and make lumber. Spent 12K on the mill. It tanked my savings account for a few months. In the 3 years I've owned it I've processed over 50 logs into lumber that I've used to build and repair buildings on my farm. Each log had an average of 250 Board feet of lumber. At $1. a board foot, I've created $12500 worth of lumber. The sawmill has paid for itself, even though it did not write me a check.

Gotta start somewhere. Now works for me. This is what I voted for.

Come back in a couple months. Stock market dropping means I get a bargain when my company buys for my 401K next week.

You think factories will be built, supply chains will be established, people will agree to buy our goods, and the trade deficit will be balanced in 4 years? Since you want to bring up the Wall for some reason, homeboy couldnt even finish that in 4 years.

His administration will reap none of the potential benefits (which are uncertain at best) during this term. And the guaranteed short-term pain of these moves will destroy whatever legacy he may have had.

But I’m probably wrong about that, you braindead boomers somehow think an unfinished wall that doesn't do shite to secure our border was somehow a success so I’m sure you’ll find a way to rationalize his failed abortion of a presidency while you slob on your god-kings knob.

No and that's not what I said. But it will be a start. Look at it this way. The guy that is morbidly obese will not be in great shape after 4 days, 4 weeks, 4 months or even 4 years. He will be better off than he would have been otherwise.

Sometimes you have to do what is right and best for the country.

you braindead boomers
If that was supposed to hurt, it doesn't. At least I can support myself, purchase a home and live a good life. Maybe you should emulate a boomer. Instead of being a whiny little female dog. Ha ha.

Wow you seem triggered. GOOD. I hope you are f-ing miserable everyday until 20 Jan 2029. Enjoy, I certainly will. Your tears are DELICIOUS.

Even given what this guy is saying, the approach the Administration is taking still seems way over the top. Like taking a sledgehammer to a nail.

When they take down a high-rise, do they do it piece by piece or with an explosion? Trump is trying to fundamentally change what's been built, not give it a makeover.
