East Baton Rouge Parish 10 Tax Renewal Props

They are all terrible. One proposition has been illegally taken from Parish residents for 40 years. The other taxes amount to nearly $1 Billion in revenue over 10 years for the pathetic low performing school system. If there every was a time to hold the system accountable, it’s now.
How come no one knows there is this much worth of property taxes for renewal and that there is even an election in two weeks?

I can't wait for every retard in NBR who doesn't pay a cent in taxes to vote yes for all of these.

Not giving one cent to EBR, they are all crooks. Take some from COA if you need it. Where is there accountability after that sham of a Metro Council meeting where they gave them the keys to the vault.

They didn’t let me to vote on St George so I’m voting no on these School taxes.

Good luck getting enough people to poles to vote no. The school groups will mobilize out of self preservation.
A number of years back LSU Russian posted results of a similar spring vote - was like 20,000 for and1700 against.

One is to give the city police department money that they have been taking illegally for 40 years. It amounts to around $1.7 million dollars out of a $93 million budget the police department already has. We are talking about less than a 2% cut in the Police budget if it doesn’t pass.
The others involving the school system equates to nearly $100 million a year in taxes for building or renovating schools, increases in teachers salaries, and some truancy money.
The teachers don’t deserve a pay raise when the school system is almost at the bottom of the state and has been falling continuously.
We don’t need new improvements to schools in EBR related to anything dealing with libraries. Since we have poured so much money into libraries in the parish that’s where the students should go if their school isn’t adequate enough. Both BREC and the Library System are flushed with huge budgets and are just throwing money away.
Your 10 cent tax would go down to 8 cents per dollar if this renewal is defeated and the expiration of the 1 cent state budget tax.

Actually my 11 would go down to 9 because I’m in Zachary, where we pay extra but actually get functional schools.

To be a member of Better Together I was under the impression that you would have to go through initiation.
It is a quick drive down Airline Hwy to the corner of Goodwood & Airline Hwy by the city police headquarters known as Old Woman’s Hospital. As you sit in your car at the turn lane at the corner or Airline and Goodwood would look North and go that is bad. Turn back toward your safety zone or South BR. Then you shame everyone white telling them how bad NBR is and become an expert on the hardship of living in NBR.
