You know they have local rules/laws against throws? You can hand someone something but no throws.

Might cause a stampede and such!

W could name it The Krewe of All Hat & No Cattle.

I can hear the community leaders now, after applying for a float permit,

"I hear those people drink, cuss like sailors and leave a mess behind to clean up. Not sure they're the type we want influencing our children."

They would find a way to run us out of this county. Could you imagine in Grapevine or Frisco? McKinney?

I was pretty disappointed that there were 11 judge races that were uncontested. Is the Republican party in Texas too lazy to try to find someone to run?

I thought about writing in EKG from Tigerdroppings in the Senate race instead of voting for Ted Cruz. I figured he's going to need all the votes he can get.

Denton County statistics, Day One:

Early voting in person - 50,671 (of which 1,264 were at the recreation center near my house). (This is actually more than in Bexar County - San Antonio - and we're a lot smaller)

Mail ballots received - 5,602 (from 9/30 through 10/20).

Again, we don't register by party in Texas.

For early voting, you may vote anywhere in the county where you are registered to vote. (You can't vote in another county, though.)

On Election Day, you must vote where your precinct location is.

Voted in Atascosa county yesterday. Waited about 10 minutes. Voted Trump/Vance, Cruz, and R down the line. Walked out with a smile.

Your numbers will be in tomorrow's totals. (Also, if you want to confirm that you did vote, the county election website lists who has voted early. I already confirmed my state rep did - Ben Bumgarner - and his wife, along with a colleague at work and her husband.)
