And on the billboard, was pictured a young child from the 3rd world who looked impoverished.

How does one "end poverty"? Is that a choice that can just be made and it is ended? How do we know when no one is poor?

Spread capitalism and meritocracy.

quote:

"I thought that if we just redistributed resources, then we could solve every problem. I now know that’s not true. There’s a funny moment when you realize that as an activist: The off-ramp out of extreme poverty is, ugh, commerce, it’s entrepreneurial capitalism."

Make it globally universal so everyone is impoverished.

Set up some NGOs that will shovel billions of taxpayer dollars to the third world while their officials buy some more pleasure islands in the South Pacific where they can go relax from the hard work they do 'ending poverty.'

Most assuredly it had some non profit or international organization that takes donations and spends 95 percent on the donations as “administrative expenses”.

The billboard, if it was truthful, would say “I wanna bigger boat”. But people wouldn’t donate to that.

It’s like that woman who got pissed at that YouTuber that built water wells in rural Africa:

quote:

Saran Kaba Jones, founder and CEO of FACE Africa, an organization working to improve water infrastructure and sanitation in sub-Saharan Africa, told CNN: “I’ve been doing this for 15 years, but we’ve been struggling to continue the work because funding, awareness, and advocacy all take work.”

And then, she added, “overnight, this person comes along, who happens to be a white male figure with a huge platform, and all of a sudden, he gets all of the attention. It’s kind of frustrating, but it’s also understanding the nature of how the world is.”

They weren’t worried about wells. She is pissed he stepped on her grift.

When you donate a dollar to any of these places… remember Saran Kaba Jones of FACE Africa.
