While I don't like it, who are you to tell parents how to raise their children?

Progs think the same thing about church, sunday school, bible classes, etc.

Eh, just don't take your kids to it. It's pretty easy.

Only ones that celebrate mentally ill sexual deviants.

There was a big fuss in Lafayette when it was first announced a few months ago. They actually had the story time the other day and a few parents and kids showed up. No problems.

But tell us how you feel about the First Amendment

Honestly, how many people who were boycotting the Lafayette library drag queen thing actually gave a shite about the library prior to that event being announced?

Just being honest, the people who were crying about the library hosting the event don't seem like the type of people who patronize the library.

There was a city council meeting and like 200 people spoke for and against it for over four hours. Outside group from West Virginia came in and filed suit but it was dismissed because they lacked standing.

Why do the drag queens feel the need to read to the kids in drag? If it's all about the kids learning, why can't they read in regular clothing?

Share the context of that? It's doesn't really seem like it makes sense.

But nothing the library did prior to this ever garnered the same amount of attention, or any notable attention at all, correct?

I agree about the First Amendment.
The school should also have a psychiatrist show those very same children that the nice man dressed as a woman is mentally ill, and that shouldn't be encouraged. The person may be nice, but is mentally ill. Point out the reality that almost half will attempt suicide.
Sad.

*do you think that might get some pushback from the liberal 1st Amendment advocates? If so, wouldn't you find that hypocritical?*

That’s more in the realm of mental health and medical treatment guidelines propogated by the school board. I see where you were trying to go with it, but it doesn’t really invoke the First Amendment

Our kids elementary school hosted a movie night served with "food trucks". The food truck that was there was the "Texas Chilli Queens".

Not advertised, not explained, but damn sure celebrated by the chubby principal and her office staff. They all posed for pics multiple times and this administrator tried to urge everyone to go support these fine folks.

The parents need to be told that if Uncle Drag Queen is such a nice guy, then take the kiddies to the club that night and see what Uncle and his friends do for fun. They are promoting what Uncle does as mainstream and he's just as normal as you and me, so let's have Kids Night at the Gay Bar.

Let them watch the show. Let them watch what goes on, YOU are promoting this. Hey Dad, look at these free balloons in this basket! Those two men sure like each other..

But also present is the option to not take your kids to see this or otherwise promote this lifestyle. Isn’t freedom fun?!?!

Yeah right. As long as Uncle doesn't start showing up in school systems. Want to bet that doesn't happen? That's the goal here.
