The hypocrisy of the federal government will be laid bare if there are criminal charges for any redditors. There isn’t and wasn’t a crime committed here.
This is Occupy Wall Street 2.0. Wall Street may start to hedge on the back side of some of their trades due to this, but they really can’t stop it on the front end without laying bare the naked hypocrisy or undermining confidence and belief in the sanctity of the markets.

They just indicted a man for posting a meme in 2016. There's no one they won't go after if they perceive them as a threat to the system.

I guess that’s true when we give the State the monopoly on violence and the deprivation of liberty.

Juxtapose this versus Loeffler and company trading on coronavirus briefings on top of Pelosi and Tesla today and the general insider trading that happens in Congress.
Joe has already shown he’ll capitulate to the left wing of his party. AOC is aware of the GameStop stuff today and that’s all Joe needs is for her to fire up the far left against Wall Street.
The establishment needs to let Citron and Melvin take this on the chin and hope the autists fracture or move on some other troll. Don’t give them indictments to rally around.

The Democrats are shameless in the tactics they use to turn any crisis to their advantage. And, because the media is in lockstep with them, they are successful at it even when you can't believe anyone would buy their BS.
As a result, they simply are not limited by the same concerns politicians have been in the past. Crazy times.
