Be honest, you're rooting for China over the U.S., aren't you?

Many on this board seemed to be on the brink of suicide.

Yeah I guess Trump knows what he is doing.
If you dig a hole over three days, and then fill it 80% in one day, should you credit yourself for having created a mountain?

Still down from when Trump took office. Not sure why people think this is a good thing

Not exactly. Long term damage has been done to friendly trading partners (for no reason). Also, even though Trump caved, they still have tariffs 5 - 10 higher than they had a month or 2 ago. Inflation is coming.

Has it? How the he’ll do you know? And what was friendly about them before? They will now renegotiate even better terms or lose market share in the USA.

Trump is renegotiating the entire trade system with everyone. The status quo is no longer.

Right. As I said. Inflation is coming. Many of you have yet to grasp that tariffs = higher prices.

The old relationship benefitted Canada the most. They have no choice but to rely on the USA. It’s good that the old relationship ended.
Some of you are so used to the USA getting fricked over that you can’t see what’s going on here.
See the guy you quoted as of yesterday
quote:
As President Trump and I have agreed, the U.S. President and the Canadian Prime Minister will commence negotiations on a new economic and security relationship immediately following the Federal election. As part of today’s announcement, the President has signalled that the U.S. will engage in bilateral negotiations with a number of other countries. This will likely result in a fundamental restructuring of the global trading system.

Trade deficits are not a bad thing. Having a trade deficit is not a bad thing.

I have complete confidence that he does, and in the Tariff negotiations, but come on man, that's like saying Biden policy helped us recover from the chinese flu. It's like playing blackjack and losing 10 straight hands, bitching to the dealer about it, and then when you win 3 hands in a row, the dealer claims you are even.

This is why no one takes you or the other liberals serious on here. You are completely dishonest, and yes, you get it from your leaders every single day. The point is, it is why you got your arse handed to you in the election. People in the middle are finally on to you and your people's shite. There's no going back, unless with a change of strategy. You know good and damn well what is going on with Tariffs and you know they aren't done. I hope your entire party keeps rolling with that strategy though....I pray that in fact. It guarantees another R win.

Never mentioned them. You want to acknowledge that the Canadian PM more or less said exactly what I did?
Canada will negotiate better terms on trade with the USA or they’ll get fricked. 19% of their GDP involves selling to the USA. Some of you view things thru a lense of weakness.

Great day but even as a YUGE Trump Guy we will have our fair share of bad days.
absolutely
Part of it is media/politically driven
Part of it is that we are entering unchartered territory and with it comes instability in the markets. It is genius what we are doing, but you'll never hear that from libs or MSM.....they are full on fear mongering, because, you know, it is all they have.

I agree with this, it will be over soon....but it will be a W for the good guys, not the beta soys and party of freaks that you support. Of course, you, your party leaders, or MSM, will ever admit it was good. You'll move on to the next talking point to spread fear the the old, and the young and dumb.

It'll be over before black friday and the Chinese know it. What's Christmas in the United States of America without China?
