My SO's daughter grew up in Quanah (she lived with her dad). Made that trip from DFW many times.

Using “equity” as a barometer is a complete non sequitur in regards to taxation

Californians have more progressive taxation and therefore by nature it’s LESS “equitable.” The conclusions are that we have worse government services. An absurd conclusion of course. California has so many built in economic advantages and they thrive in spite of their government. It’s not the other way around. Our standard of living is higher on average for poor people in Texas. End of story.

But that's all Californians think about. (Except the uber-rich, they don't care)

So if that gets them to take their brain-dead policies BACK HOME, well...

I think its funny that California has to put up billboards with blatant propaganda, just to keep their residents from leaving.

That's abusive spouse type bullshite.

So using their logic if we had a 2% flat tax on consumption instead of high property taxes that would be more oppressive because the distribution of taxes skews in the wrong direction

Anything but confiscatory taxation is “not equitable” using this logic what absurd people. The math bears that outcome out in every single scenario. There aren’t enough rich people to distribute it how they want.
