Looks like The Donald had it right about Omarosa, who he referred to as a dog.

Trump has hired or given jobs to a lot of people. She wasn't in his inner circle. She got a patronage job, nothing more.

Nobody with an ounce of Sicilian blood in his veins would have ever hired Omarosa. A Sicilian could have seen her pulling this betrayal from 20 kilometers away.

Well according to him she was fired three times at The Apprentice, which means he hired her 4 times! Lol. I know you guys like to defend every little thing the man does but you're starting to have your first moments for you realize maybe he's not as smart as you thought he was. The fact he didn’t make a good hire is an indication of lack of intelligence? That is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard.
Trump said he wanted to run government like business. And what do you do in business? You try to hire the best people. He then expanded for ten minutes on that concept. What you low information/low education democrats took from that was “lulz I only hire the best people”. The reaction from the left only proves tds is real.

It was his catch phrase, and Omarosa was only one of several really dumb hires. Take the Mooch, for example, who lasted all of a week. Or Michael Flynn, who was also fired by the previous admin and turned out to be a disaster.
Everytime an Omarosa situation happens, he's gonna get this thrown back at him, because he made that a catch phrase. He owns it.

Of course it wasn’t in passing. He said it in an interview and then spent 10 minutes explaining his reasoning. That was as the first time he said it. Do you think he would give the entire 10 minute explanation every time, or that it would be a catchy phrase...like “hope and change”. I would venture to say that Trump was"throwing her a bone".
Not everyone takes advantage of a great opportunity when presented it. Some people are self-destructive and don't take advantage of opportunities.
Can't blame that on Trump, he gave her a chance.

It was a risky hire which Trump assumed could pay off , for the sake of appearances ( celeb, black woman , reality star … ) but at the end of the day, she really didn't have any real duties. There are plenty of positions in the WH where folks do next to nothing. If his WH staff were 1/2 of Barry's , what's 1 throw away position if he could yield some positive P.R. down the road ?

Nobody's mocking his catch phrase, they're mocking his questionable hires after hearing his catch phrase over and over. I'm not sure why it strikes a nerve with you.
Hiring Omarosa was never a "best people" scenario, and a lot of people figured it would end up exactly how it has. And now she's playing him like a fiddle, while gaining more notoriety to use to sell her book.
Predictably, the trump mob will boycott and spam up Amazon and whoever sells the book, and it will get even more attention.
