they use these terms because they know that the viewers and others dont know the difference, and then it becomes a "fact". it's a scare tactic.

Further, to attempt to scare people into thinking there are machineguns at Wal-Mart is fearmongering to try to gin up popular support for something they know is unpopular - additional "gun control" measures. People want existing laws enforced. People want criminals locked up. People do not want semiautomatic weapons banned, or severely restricted, if properly advised as to what semiautomatic weapons are.
