Imagine thinking this is important while the party who just won this week is calling to ban AI completely.

All we really know about our electronic election systems is that some official looks into the black box and declares a winner.

The current voting system is based on the old mechanical voting machines where it was filling in a paper vote or pulling the lever on a mechanical machine. Poll workers sat in a room and counted the votes.
The system today is computerized and largely automated. The BIG PROBLEM with this is that we are still using the old school oversight. The federal govt has strict cyber security regulations in place for financial institution and other critical industries, but the election system is still using inexperienced volunteers and local govt general network engineers to operate and secure these election systems.
There is not a CPA accounting firm providing certification of the voting system or certifying the process or final tally. The certification is of the number provided, not that all policies, processes with no exceptions are certified.
The election systems run by local governments do not have the same certification like SOC 2 that is required for regulated services like banks, healthcare, etc.
SOC 2: Focuses on the Trust Services Criteria: Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy. Designed for SaaS providers and cloud tech companies.

Yeah for sure. Thank goodness we have the adults in power now and we can tackle the important things like banning AI and blaming the Jews for everything.
Those are clearly more important than investigating fraud in our elections.
