So no one really has standing to challenge an illegal alien voting in an election?

That is NOT what I said.

I said

quote:

That depends on the basis of the lawsuit at issue and the parties themselves (a state can't sue another state for allegations about the defendant-state's alleged voting issues, for instance).

quote:

Are election officials the only ones or can a poll watcher? Or is it that no one can have standing?

You have to go to the election code in the jurisdiction you're asking about to answer that question.

Yet we now will enter that part of the thread where SFP will 1.) either start his crawfish dance or 2.) flat-out deny he said what he said.

This is the part where you inject your personal analysis

quote:

the primary purposes of this lawsuit by the DOJ is to erode the distinction between legal citizens and illegal immigrants.

And ignore what I said.

Then claim I "crawfished" based on this straw man.

The distinctions between citizen, legal resident and illegal alien all exist and are not eroding.

Let the dance begin!

I don't know if you understand how quoting works, but he quoted me from a different discussion.

I did not say those words in this thread, and I pointed out why that quote as non-responsive to OP (but the original, actual use of the language was applicable to the threads in which they were posted).

How can I crawfish a statement that I didn't make in this thread?

*ETA: I just looked, and it even has the date posted

I’m not sure if you understood that words have meanings.

So freaking what?

That previous comment is wholly relevant to this discussion and this lawsuit by the DOJ totally undermines that argument.

It's a required step in "crawfishing". You have to make a statement first in order to crawfish from that position.

I'm not sure if you understood that words have meanings.

I don’t even have to read the thread to know that there’s a whole lot of ackshually going on in here.

Again so freaking what? Your comment quoted above occurred in the following thread from earlier this year:

Judge appointed by O'Bama rules illegals can legally carry firearms and ammo…

The very first reply in that thread correctly predicted that the DOJ is seeking to grant citizenship rights to illegal aliens. The lawsuit by the DOJ against Alabama validates that claim and this thread indeed serves as a fitting spinoff thread from that earlier discussion.

NOTA BENE: FWIW, I totally support the argument that our natural right to bear arms precedes the Constitution and thus supersedes any restrictions by the Feral Government of the United States on our God-bestowed right to self-defense.
