Does your US Senator or House Rep talk about more than same 5 or 6 "issues"?

If you are on their mailing list, or go to / listen to a town hall, do they ever talk about more issues than that (Exception being their own pet projects)?
Do they ever talk about things like:
* Seriously discussing balancing the budget
* seriously talk about changing to a consumption tax and eliminating the IRS
* Big Tech issues and actually propose something specific to address monopolies and US citizen data theft.
* That the Fed is ignoring their mandate (price stability & full employment) and are causing chaos in the housing market keeping interest rates at zero - when we have inflation & have full employment.
* That inflation and low interest rates hurt the elderly on fixed incomes.
* that they will propose that Google will no longer be able to track you when you send them an email and will be replaced by system like what Tommy Tuberville uses (he is the ONLY one in AL that does not require you accept Google's Privacy Terms).
... just a few small samples. Everybody on here could come up with several issues that they NEVER discuss. I got an email today from House rep and it was the same oh sh!t - all focused on getting reelected.

My rep is one of the most homely women I have ever seen.
Not even one of our resident fat libtards would take her to bed.

Statesmen are gone.
Term limits are the only answer.

My Senator is Rand Paul and congressman is Thomas Massie. So yes they talk alot about issues that matter. McConnel not so much.

"Term limits are the only answer."
... about the only time you hear this discussed is when Cruz and Lee reintroduced their bill that they know would never pass. If they really wanted term limits they would change the bill that actually had some chance of passing.

Yes, regardless whether you like them or not, they do bring real issues to the forefront and you are fortunate to have two like that... that is VERY unusual.
I'd trade my three for those two.

Term limits will never pass unless the limit is something like 40 years.
A majority will never vote to fire themselves from the most lucrative job they have ever had.

Scalise says:
Biden bad
Guns good
Statues Bad
Abortion Bad
Fraud - Didn't happen
Dude sucks and is a GOP robot

I think if they put a Constitutional Amendment on the table that have a max of 24 years in DC ... combined House and Senate. and a max of 12 years in the House, it would get serious conversation. It might not pass, but it would put serious pressure on Republicans and Conservatives to support it. Cruz and Lee introduce some bs that is 3 terms in the House and Senators to two terms - very few would support that and they know it. If they believed in that they would not be in DC.

Until Georgia gets rid of Ossof Warnock, I'm not going to be hearing from any Senators besides Rand.
Ossof Warnock sounds like a Tolkien character.

Bill Cassidy
John Kennedy

I’ve never heard any of them say anything genuine, much less actually addressing a real problem in my state or country.

yep .. that is about it for most GOP US House members. And Scalise gets Big Tech dollars and along with the CA doofus GOP House leader won't allow Tech to be touched.

Yep, Scalise knows all he has to do is babble on about 2 issues and he will be fine. They never solve or do anything.

"John Kennedy

.. Now I will defend Kennedy, I've seen him buck Mitch GOP leadership and vote otherwise. He at least talks about issues re Big Tech, most Republicans won't even touch the topic. In Alabama, I've never heard Shelby mention Big Tech. By the way, has anybody actually seen him recently? Just wandering.

Just FYI if you highlight text and then click the quote button to the right of the text box or copy it and paste it in there it will quote the post for you so you don’t have to add quotation marks

Most state media outlets never ask them tough questions and this allows them to rip off a few words on the same topics and walk into their reelections without much effort.
My new House rep HATEs the questions I hit him with and on his last online town hall, they screened out my tough questions and let him answer my one softball q.
I;m already working on the next one ... with several short ones that they will try to screen out. But, I plan to send about 20 to try and make him answer something meaningful.

I'm not saying Scalise has a bad voting record, but these guys aren't willing to get in the trenches and fight like the Dems do. They are pansies and getting rich as hell while we get higher taxes and diversity training. It's time for our representatives like Scalise to stop playing nice and take the gloves off. If not....we need to vote for someone that will.

My Senators in Tennessee mostly talk about what stupid losers the Democrats are. Cool with me!

TN about like AL, it doesn't take much to get a vote. Hats off to KY for having more to offer. What other states besides KY offer good reps?
